Why does this wonderful supplier that you have keep wanting to saddle you with discontinued machines?
Maybe they hate him... wonder why...

I had a long line of Dream Stations and just received a Resmed Air Curve BiPap. This machine - wow - I can't even tell I'm on XPAP therapy. It moves fast and catches events that would woken me up with the Respironics equipment (I have severe REM apnea amongst others). BUT I couldn't tolerate their APAP machine, and it depends on you. I would trial them both.

Are you paying for this "new" machine out of your own pocket or do you have insurance that will pay for all or the bulk of it?

Stick with ResMed though...
When does insurance stops paying for a new Machine? Like It used be every 5 years a few years back.
What is it Today? Months of compliance?
I do have Insurance and They paid for Respironics and than My Current ResMed Of a Year and 4 Months, I don’t know if, the Insurance Company will help pay for this “New” Machine this soon or not. I am sticking with ResMed too.
Does AnyOne on the This Forum Know, If, the Insurance Company will pay for this ”New Machine” nowdays There used be a 5 Year span. What is the span Today’s?

Insurance varies between policies and companies.
You need to call them up and ask them what their policy is for replacing an old machine.
It used to be pretty much that after 5 years companies would buy you another machine but not so much now.
Now a lot of companies are saying "only if your current machine is broken beyond repair or it costs more to repair it than it is worth".

We have no idea what company you are using and what plan within that company. Different plans can have different policies within the same company.

You have to call your company up and ask them....we have zero way to know what your insurance will do or not do.

And within an insurance coverage they could have different policy due to the type of device you have.

What I was told by my medical plan is that most of the PAPs they do switch out after 5 years, but that is not the same with my ASV which does Not get replaced after 5 years - probably because it is such an expensive device -
