nasal tampons

Hi Jeff
Seeing those nasal tampons reminded me of waking up from sinus surgery and noticing that everyone who came in my room looked like they were hiding a giggle. When I finally got to look at myself, I saw that those black strings that hang out your nose had been taped to my face like the Frito bandito's mustache. No wonder they were laughing at me! I looked pretty funny.

Not fair to add humiliation to pain! Then I had to leave the hospital like that, and return to the office to have them removed, offering the opportunity to lots of other people to laugh at me. Good thing I had a sense of humor about it. Maybe I was in enough discomfort that I really didn't care.

I hope you are better soon.

I cut the strings off as soon as I got home. They got in EVERYTHING. The Doc just reaches up there and grabs the plug anyway, so I don't know why they need the strings on them.

But you are right, Catnapper, you have to have a sense of humor if you are going to get thru this life with any success at all.

Thanks

Jeff, I just 'caught up' with your ordeals.

My, what a time you've had of it.
How's iron level of your blood? Could possibly be low from the loss.
I had a Caldwell-Luc eons ago, and they used what seemed to be
a MILE of 'string' for packing.

I am so very happy for you that everything seems to be stabilized now, and especially that you're "APAP-ing" again.
I don't think an 'extra' prayer would hurt, to keep it going well. Will Do!

In the meantime,
Here's one big one for you:
