Sure, I’m glad to. Remember I have the machine that doesn’t do the software that most of you guys use. But I’ll post what I do have.

AHI was a little high again last night. And again I had horrible nightmares. But I did not use any Afrin and was fine. Image Maybe I just had an extended bout of allergies.

No experts have chimed in. I’m pretty happy with my results. My right nostril is still clogging though. Using just one spray of Afrin before bed, and that seems to do the trick. I don’t want to do damage by using it all the time but it is only one spray. I also don’t like the idea of spraying a steroid all the time either.

What machine do you actually have? Because the machine you have listed does do the software.

Her machine does do data gathering but she doesn't have a computer that she can use the software on.
She only has a phone and an iPad.
That's why no detailed software data is available.

It's hard to chime in on something when we don't have much to chime in about.
Nora knows her limitations in the data situation and for the most part it's not a critical need that she has that detailed data at her fingertips.
She's doing well and if all she needs is a teeny tiny squirt of Afrin in one nostril at bedtime to keep her happy....I totally am in agreement with what she is doing.

If it ain't broke...don't go looking to fix it.

This morning I woke up and found that I had had a nosebleed overnight. The nasal pillow was covered in dried blood, and the outer pillowcase and inner pillowcase were soaked. I search the forum and could not find this in any topics.

This is the first time I have ever had this happen. I have had some mild seasonal allergies, but nothing serious. Back in late February I had a sinus infection but thought I was fully recovered by the second week in March. So last night was a total surprise.

I had been running my machine on a number three for heat and humidity both. Do you think it might be a good idea to decrease the heat and increase the humidity?

Thank you so much!

Or... vice versa. Isn't it already pretty humid there? If you can see an ENT MD it would be a good idea... though the sinus thing may be the problem, but you are probably the best judge of that.

How do you feel otherwise? No fever, headache, etc? Just being ultra careful not to mistake something rampant for your OSA issues. It's amazing the different symptoms (or even none) that people are getting.

Yes, it already is quite humid down here in Florida. I was just trying to decide what to do with my settings. It is next to impossible to obtain any medical advice locally these days because of the corona virus. All the offices are are closed or on extremely limited hours. I get my sleep study and supplies at the VA. And they are not seeing patients now.

I feel fine otherwise. No fever, headache, loss of smell, or cough.

Thank you so much! Hopefully this was a one time thing. I did order some Ayr saline gel which should come in a week or so. Meanwhile will sleep on a couple of towels just in case.

The nosebleeds continued for another three nights. I would wake up with a mess to clean in the morning. Pillow, pillowcase, mask, and the tubing. The nosebleeds weren’t severe in the sense of being difficult to stop. Essentially they had stopped on their own when I awoke in the morning.

I stopped using CPAP, and the nosebleeds have not returned. So no CPAP for a while until I can get into see an ENT. I have never had a nosebleed during the day. They only occurred late into the night. Actually early morning shortly before I awoke.
