Do you know why you're congested? Allergies? Sinus infection? Other chronic sinus issues?
Just asking because if it's allergies, that would be easy to treat by taking an antihistamine daily.
I don't react well with antihistamines and no I'm not sure if its allergies. But I typically get really stuffed up at night where I'll wake up at around 3 or 4 AM sucking down air through a pin hole.
Chronic congestion waking you up daily is worth looking into, if you're able. An ENT might be able to help you figure it out. I'm all for sinus rinsing, but I also have allergies and rinsing alone wouldn't help me enough. It would make it more comfortable for a while, but wouldn't stop the allergic reaction (sneezy, runny nose, congestion.)
Interestingly, my brother recently told me that after he was diagnosed with sleep apnea, he was referred to an ENT to make sure it wasn't anything anatomically before he got a CPAP machine. I never saw an ENT, that wasn't part of my CPAP journey. Different doctors, different parts of the country.

Hi everyone I wanted to update... I received the unit a few days ago but just now got around to using it this evening. Overall it was very easy to use. I used some of my distilled water in it instead of tap water. Then I popped in a saline capsule on top. Then came the part I was most nervous about. You insert the nasal pillows and create a seal around your nostrils. While standing up straight press the button halfway down then creates a "vacuum" which I imagine is disconcerting for non-CPAP users but for me I was used to the sensation for some reason. Then the big moment.. you fully press in and then your nose is immediately filled with water which is the most nerve wrecking step. After about 10 seconds and breathing through my mouth at the same time it was all over. I blew out my nose in a tissue afterwards and I've never felt so cleared out. Yes I would recommend it... quite easy to use yet somewhat nerve wrecking initially.

Great description of your experience! Glad you feel squeaky clean! Tonight will be the real test - can you make it through the night without feeling congested?

Vaccuum suction doesn't sound good to me, but hey, maybe it's the next big thing! Tell us how it goes.
SAME here, but I use a pressurized can of sterile saline rinse, and expel into the sink, toilet, OR a paper towel. WAY easier and cheaper, and no cleanup needed.
I rank Navage right up there with SoClean.

Yup I woke up next day breathing pretty good... at least for night #1. I'll try going tonight without the Navage tonight as this isn't something I want to do everyday.

Yay for still breathing!
I don't think there would be any harm in doing it every night. When my nephew was just a little guy, he had to do use a WaterPik with the nose attachment daily, per his doctor & now a sister-in-law has to do the same every night due to chronic sinus infections. Think of it like flossing your teeth - which I hate doing - a pain but important. If the sinus rinse keeps you breathing, and helps you sleep better, it's worth it.
