Most CPAP Prescriptions are Lifetime or 99 Months. with that prescription if you still have it you should be able to buy a machine about anywhere and some places ship overnight for free on a new machine.
I am eligible for a new machine, so I'm going to get the Airsense 10. I can't get that now bc I don't have a script for it. That's why I have to wait until the doctor can see me and write a new script. Even if my old script is still valid, I don't want to waste my "new machine every 5 years" on the old S9. That's why I'm just looking for the S9 part, to tide me over until my doctor can see me and give me an RX for the Airsense 10.
I will check to see if I need the cord or the whole battery box when I get home. Thanks!

If it is the cord that goes from the brick to the wall (Not the brick), it may be available at your local hardware store

Yes if its the cord from the wall to the brick many other items use the same cord. You may have a unused one at home. If it is the Brick check Craigslist for a used machine just for the brick to plug into yours.
I was able to buy a different machine with my prescription online than what was written in the Prescription from a online medical supplier. They did set the settings ETC. to my script though.

For a quick prescription (if needed) call your OB. ANY doctor can prescribe.
Another option is to check your local Craig's list. People often have machines for sale. BE VERY CAREFUL that you don't get scammed and only agree to meet in a public place. If you can find the same machine, all you need to use is the power cord, and then you don't have to worry about cooties.

This is the biggest reason to have a backup machine.

If you were remotely close to me I could easily repair your cords. Maybe you can find someone nearby that can help if you don't find any other option. It would at least get your machine running even if long enough to get a new part in the mail.
I would think any TV repair shop could help you.

If it's frayed on the brick side next to the cpap machine you need another power cord/brick...and those are special.
This is the part you need
https://www.cpap.com/productpage/resmed ... upply-cord
and it's not the same thing as the AirSense machines use.
Has to be for the S9 models..
Amazon has them...but be careful that you choose the correct one for the S9 model..it has 3 pins and that's important.
They have that wonderful Prime service.

OK I just checked and the frayed part is on the cord that runs from the machine to the brick.
So does that mean I need to buy a whole new charging brick? Or do they sell just the part that runs from the machine to the brick?

The cord from the machine to the brick is all one piece....so that's what has to be bought.
The other cord from the brick to the wall unplugs from the other end of the brick.
It would be nice if they let us plug into the brick on both sides but they don't.
I figured it was probably the brick cord that was messed up....Murphy's Law...never something simple and cheap and easy to fix.

Final update! I bought a new knock-off brick off Amazon for less than $20, free 1 day delivery by tomorrow. In the meantime, the hubby is going to the hardware store and picking up some electrical tape and seeing if he can MacGuyver it so it can work tonight. Fingers crossed! Thanks to everyone who offered helpful advice.

Easy bit of soldering for anyone who has ever done that before, and then taping. See you found the same as I did on Amazon.

Hope it all works out. If you don't have money set aside right now, try to set a bit aside when any future income comes in, and invest in backup supplies for everything, including the machine itself if you can afford it. I would be in big trouble if I went even one night without therapy.

Did the tape work? Did the new brick work?
