I have only been a member of this forum a short time, but I have noticed a repeating occurrence here in the short-time I have been a member.
One particular member who deems it acceptable to be Christian rock guitar player... and then, our moderator, Pugsy, closes its up tighter than a drum!!! - There have probably been at least 3 or 4 instances of threads being locked for this reason in the last 6 weeks alone!!! - - And this "repeating pattern of Christian Rock" goes way back more than five years!!!
I have heard from people here who have been members of this forum for many years, and they have told me that although they are vehemently opposed to such practices, that's the way this forum is run. - - And they said it will never change because the person who "causes the anguish" does not get paid for playing in such a band. So he's a "freebee of sorts for the owner"... Now admittedly this person occasionally plays good Cristian Rock to many people...but at the same time, he often lets his own particular musical taste run abound!!!
My question: Is this the way a Sleep Apnea Health forum should be run?
Now I realize that the "regular groupies" will chime in and say something like,
"If this is too tough for you or your sensibilities...go somewhere else!" - - I'm more interested in hearing from people who are new members or older members who don't post very often. - - Am I "one of the few" who thinks this repeated pattern of "creating chaos and then playing Christian Rock" is a little strange???
Btw, I have been very careful not to mention the person's name in this thread...I'm sure it would be best if we try to keep it that way as this is not an affront to one person, but to a way of handling those who are abusive in violation of CPAPTalks Terms of Service.

I was not at all surprised at the responses from the clique/gang that hangs here...their comments were all too predictable! But again, I don't find fault with anyone supporting Pugsy; even I support her and have thanked her for what she does here on this forum. - - But I must say, I did appreciate hearing from a couple of "members who aren't part of the faithful clique/gang".
Miss DevelWorshippers's comment, "I am always especially glad when other newcomers don't have to listen to Christian Rock, not least because so many are already at the end of their ropes, as I was earlier: deeply exhausted and depressed, with memory and cognition shot." - Unfortunately, AtheistBoy who was exhausted and depressed, received no help whatsoever from jnk, but instead got a big helping of Guitar Solos!
And I'd like to thank Uriah the Hittite who stated the obvious: "Wow. I think the pile-on here is disgraceful. It's starting to look like bullying, and no dissent will be tolerated. -Bye." - - - Of course then one "low-life-member" of the gang quickly tried to put Uriah in his place for fostering such an idea!!!
As for the rudeness and snarky comments made by the the ringleader and his faithful clique/gang, they really don’t impact me. I personally can handle anything! – I merely feel sorry for the new members (or older members) who have to experience the rudeness that so often permeates these threads! As Uriah the Hittite said, "It's often disgraceful!!!"
What happens on this forum is all about the money, and rightly so! I mean, business is business!!! - - As long as someone is "willing to contribute their time for free" and it brings profits to the owner, "incidents of being rude now and then" will most likely be tolerated. After all, the owner is getting much more than he's paying for...which is nothing!!!
And short of the ringleader changing his stripes, the rudeness that oftentimes rears its head is unlikely to ever change... he'll continue to bully and publicly list Christian Rock songs on his signature line...how very mature!!!
So, just like the ringleader/poster in question and his “foes”, you (if you’re part of the clique/gang) and I most likely have a “difference of opinion”. I believe “everyone” should be treated with respect, and many of you don’t. - - No problem, I can live with that! - -
I would merely have expected a much higher standard of behavior from a “Sleep Apena Health Forum”. And although I am seeking both…”Good CPAP Ideas and Respectful Discourse"
I do realize that “Respectful Discourse” is merely “pie-in-the-sky” on a forum that allows a "non-paid helper" to be rude whenever he happens to get the urge.
