That's misleading. The parent drug, lisdexamfetamine, metabolizes pretty quickly into l-lysine and dextroamphetamine. That's probably where your 4-5 hour number came from. But that's only half the story. The half-life of dextroamphetamine is about 12 hours in healthy adult volunteers. Add that to the 1-4 hours it takes for the body to convert lisdexamfetamine to dextroamphetamine, and you get the full picture. Finding an ADHD treatment with a shorter half-life may or may not be an option for you, but it's definitely worth discussing with your ADHD doctor and possibly also your pulmonologist or sleep medicine provider.
