First night with the "P30i" pillows. Very similar to the P10 ( both medium ) that I use. If anything the P30i medium might seem wider than the P10 version. But fit is still proper. I got a zero leakage report for the night with this new version. Venting with this is as good as it gets. MUCH improved over the N30i version! Like the P10 and Bravida, you really cannot feel the vented air from the nasal pillow. Know that these masks also vent from the top at the hose connection. Like the Dreamwear.

I will spend a few nights with this and do a proper review............

I'm on the cusp on this mask, haven't decided if I'm keeping it or not. I have to have it tighter than I'd like to get the leakage down, and it is heavier. And tends to float up on my head, which makes the leakage number even higher (and less therapy). Although you don't notice the weight of it much when your head is on the pillow. The venting is great, though, and not having strap marks half way though the day is nice, too :-).

Do you find that you need to have this one tighter than you'd like? Does it move up on your head at night? Just not sure that I'm staying with this one yet. I do move around quite a bit when I sleep, so that may be part of the difficulty I have with the larger masks...harder to keep them in place.

Trying the small nasal pillows tonight. Worth a try, the medium may be wider than I need.

I am using the P30i probably less tightly than I ran the P10 pillows. The P10 headgear is its weak point ( and strong point too, depending on your point of view!) so I kept it a bit on the tighter side to keep it more secure. The P30i headgear is holding the pillows much better so seal isn't all just about how tight it is.

I had 2 liters per minute leak rate according to ResMed last night, zero leaks the first night. I know when the leak occurred and why. But I want to spend a few more nights with this and write a full review on it next week sometime.

As much as I didn't like the N30i version, this P30i version has been quite a surprise!

Sad to say, think that I'm giving up on the P30i. The venting is great, but like the P10, can't get the leakage down. Tried the small pillows last night and that did bring the leakage down by about 50%, first time that using a smaller size has done that. Tells me that the medium pillows are just a skosh too wide for my nose. So small is apparently the right size for me, fit best. But I felt like I wasn't getting enough air all night, surprised me since small pillows work for a lot of people. I could try this for a while and see if I get used to it, but not comfortable to feel like you're having to work to get enough air. It was similar to when I first used the ramp on the S9, that starts from 4cm...turned that off real quick.

Anyways, hate to give up on it, but I can't see using it for the long term.

I’ve used this mask for 2 nights - small frame and medium pillows (they were already on the frame). Might try the S pillows just to see how they are as that is the size I wear in other masks. But, none to very minimal leaks and very comfortable. Didn’t need to readjust at all. Now, as far as questions about frame movement - I always tie the back strap of all my mask frames to the back of the foam cervical collar that I wear for chin support, so can’t say if the back strap would move up. Definitely a keeper for me

I find the medium size P10 just a bit too small and leaves me with a feeling of air starvation while the large size remedies the air starvation but is a touch to big and sometimes leads to leaks.

What would be comparable to a Dreamwear Gel Pillow Medium?

They look 1:1 to me, I use the large in both.

I used the Dreamwear medium and use the P30/P10 large. Really didn't like the Dreamwear venting, did like the top hose.

Thanks. I think I'd be a Large then since I wear the same. I'm wondering, does the P30i have the same hard plastic barrel the some people are complaining about on the N30i?

The P30i pillow is completely different from the N30i cushion. You don't need to pull the straps as tight on the P, and it doesn't give the feel of the hard plastic like the N did.

Does the barrel touch you at all or is it like the P10 in that the only thing touching you is the pillows and the straps?

While there is some "touching" of the part that holds the nasal pillows, it is in no way like the N30i. I would say very familiar in feel to the P10. One thing I discovered last night was that having the P30i too tight is not making it seal better. I had tightened it for 3 nights in a row trying to get back to no leaks. Last night I loosened it back some and had a zero leak night. AHI was back down with that too. Just like the P10, these "pillows" need a bit of room to flex. Mashed in too tightly to the nostril and it has no give and that promotes the leak. Part of learning a new mask!

I promised a full review of the P30i this week, but I am going to hold of until next week. It is doing very well and I want to give a full review with some comparisons.

Another review/personal feelings.

Tried N30i cradle cushion for a month. It's "useable" in a pinch, but I'll never reach for it unless necessary. For the first time I experienced a mask leaking into my eye. Leaked into left eye, would wake up and scooch it over a smidge...and it would leak into my right eye. It was possible to not have many leaks..but too much fiddling.

Another problem I've never encountered with a mask is that I could only wear ONE of the sizes of the cushion. I can confortably use at least 2 different sizes with my Swift FX, Dreamwear, and P10. But with the N30i, the Small and the Medium cradle totally closed up and blocked any hope of inhalation. Strange.

So I've used the Medium PILLOWS (P30i) for 2 nights. Too soon for a real review...but first impression is that I'd more willingly reach for the pillows than the cradle. Much better leak rate and the attached diffuser works well.. the same as the P10. However, if I'm going to use pillows I prefer the easy convenience of the P10, and the soft squishiness of the Swift FX while on my side. (Points taken off for the jet stream tho'.)

I like trading off between using pillows and cradle cushions, oh..every week or so. For * me*, I prefer the softer cradle cushion of the Dreamwear, especially as a side sleeper. I was hoping there would be an improvement with the N30i so I wouldn't have to wrangle with the backstrap riding up, but both the N30i and Dreamwear do slip upwards during the night.
