I have to figure out this machine inside and out for sure, especially the humidifier setting and the heated tube setting.

On the old brick, and the ResMed prior, I had the humidification set to 3. Currently the Dream Station is set to 0 on the humidifier and 1 on the tube, definitely too cold. I woke up with a bad cough from it. I'm not sure if I should just set the tube setting or set the humidifier as well. Tips?

Set both.

0 for humidity setting essentially turns off the humidity.

I bumped up my humidity to 3 and left the heated hose at 1. That seemed to have been the perfect combination, first time in a while I've had great sleep. :lol:

The only thing I really need to work on is adjusting my mask. I'll tighten the velcro straps a little more tonight to see if that fixes the issue.

Note: the large leaks recorded are probably me taking my mask off for my nightly visit to the restroom. I need to remember to turn my machine off when I do this.

have you considered going to youtube and searching for mask fitting videos? be sure that your mask is part of the search string.

but that's enough about them.

Yeah. I know what I need to do though, just tighten the straps and shave, that'll address the minor leaks. The mask leak isn't waking me up at night. Just the pressure of a 2 oz bladder after a 20 oz water. :lol:

shave!?!?

<shudder>

i won't do it myself. say, i'm too lazy to go back through this thread, but have you considered nasal or nasal pillow mask? because i didn't want to shave, that's the direction i went in. pillows, that is. thought i was a mouth breather, but....

Zonker, I started out nasal but I'm a mouth breather full and through. I have a chromosome abnormality that made me unique in many ways in the medical books. I'm pretty comfortable with the full face mask. Tightening the strap last night worked, so no shaving for now. :lol:

I took a gander at my levels on Oscar last night, so far so good, I believe. In the next week or two I'm going to upload some screen shots just to share what my sleep pattern is looking like with the new machine.

Pugsy and the crew, I don't really know how to interpret these charts, but I assume I'm uploading the right ones you need . How am I doing so far ? Beginning of February will be 60 days.
