Since there's no public issue tracker, I literally have no idea where I'm supposed to report issues.
Anything you report here, or on the AB software forum, will make it into the private OSCAR issue tracker or to the relevant developer. I had the same experiences you noted in 1) and 2) and those issues are being worked on.

Has the screen shot worked for you before on your OS and computer? I.e., is this something that has broken in the most recent build? Does View/Take Screenshot work? Does it present a dialog about where to save the screenshot?
Good to know I'm not the only one on the data issue.

For the longest time, screenshot within the app has never worked for me; the last time I checked I simply got a black image file.

But it does work now; so that's good!

I am referring here to using the Gnome screenshot utility to select an area (full screen works). As soon as I shift to OSCAR the "+" selector reverts to standard cursor, so that I can't take the screen shot.

Also, if I have the window selected, as I said, I can't use the keyboard to switch to other apps, use the super key, etc.

I only have seen this behavior the past couple weeks.

I just hit 'printscreen' on xubuntu.

But a) in this case, I didn't want a full screenshot; I wanted a fragment, and b) this is a bug that wasn't there a few weeks ago, and it goes beyond screenshots.

Feature request: add a preference item to throw out entries (at least for color coding) on the "change to machine settings" table less than X days.

Right now, the "change to machine settings" table can be misleading, as it puts equal weight on a change of 1 day as it does 30 days. The above is one simple way to address (though there are others, of course).

Just got OSCAR, stuck in my SD card, created a profile, and it shut down. Reloaded it, tried click open profile, and it shut down. Over and over. So I dunno what to do. I cant open any of the data on the SD card either, its just grayed out, but I am not sure if my profile needs to be open for me to do that.

in reporting problems, it's good to let the team know what system you are using.

If you are using Windows, the usual problem is that you have an old graphics card or old driver. Oscar has an alternate graphics engine that gets around this problem. Download https://www.sleepfiles.com/OSCAR/Patch/fixgraphics.reg, save it on your disk, then double click on it to edit an Oscar parameter in the Windows Registry.

Sorry, I should have said I have Windows. Yeah, this laptop is super old and I'm getting a new one soon. Thank you very much!

Have installed and uninstalled Oscar on my laptop have used for SleepyHead for years with zero issues a half dozen times and get absolutely nowhere. Have updated graphics card and run your graphics card fix and tried total uninstall and reinstall twice each time with no luck. Generic windows laptop.

Windows 7 Professional
Version 6.1 (Build 7601: Service Pack 1)

SleepyHead still runs perfect on old machines data but wont install the new Dreamstation BiPAP autoSV data from card. Every time I try to launch Oscar it says I need to upgrade versions and whether I click yes or no option I get this same error report and it crashes. "Opensource cpap Analysis Reporter Has Stopped Wworking" Have tried with my new data card in slot and not in slot. I install and upgrade software regularly usually with few issues can't figure out myself. Help please.

Did you install the 32-bit or 64-bit version of OSCAR, and did you allow it to install in the default directory offered (C:\Program Files (x86)or C:\Program Files)? After you installed OSCAR and run it for the first time, did you accept the default data directory of OSCAR_Data or did you specify a different directory? Did OSCAR ask if you wanted to convert your SleepyHead data to OSCAR data, or did that not happen?

There is a problem when I take a long nap in the afternoon and then sleep overnight. The next day, OSCAR will only import the nap. The following error message appears.
not importing night after nap.png
The detail on the nap is there as usual. The night after the nap won't import.

This has happened twice in two weeks. I usually don't take many afternoon naps, so maybe this is why I just now noticed it.

P.S. I just downloaded the card to ResScan. ResScan shows both the nap and the night.

OSCAR will only import once a day only import when you finished sleeping do not import after the nap.

Go to the days with the nap, Data->Advanced->Purge current days data

Then reimport

That fixed it. Thanks.

The nap was yesterday afternoon. I didn't import until this morning after sleeping overnight. Wonder if it's necessary to wait until afternoon to do the import?

Oh, well, I won't worry about it unless it comes up again.

I'm not sure why, but on short sessions the start time is greater than the end time. It seems to be a bug. I'm attaching a screen shot.
