Hello,

I would love to be able to either print or export just the Journal/notes entries in OSCAR with a date stamp for each entry. I have backed up the Journal, but can't seem to work out how to either display or extract the data from it (tried browsers, Dreamweaver, notepad, Word - which only displays the first entry, no subsequent ones, etc.).

Thank you,
Nancy

That's on our list of desired enhancements. We don't have a target date for it though.

Hi there! I'm new and have been having issues with OSCAR. The first time I opened it the rows were all compressed and I couldn't read. I got that figured out with the help of Pugsy but I still have the issue of the side columns being compressed so that I cannot read the values. I have gone into every setting that I can find with no luck. Can you help me with this?

I see several problems with the appearance of the screen. I see the date is barely visible and the graph titles are on top of the y-axis legends. That shouldn't be that way.

Could you let us know what type of computer you are running, operating system version, and screen resolution? This might be a problem with a font being specified that is not actually supported by your computer (we've fixed that problem for the next release). In the File/Preferences dialog, on the Appearance page, what are the fonts set to? If on Windows, try setting them all to "MS Shell Dlg 2". If Mac, try "Helvetica".

Hi Blue Dragon, I am running a Lenovo Yoga with Windows 10 with display resolution of 3840X2160. I checked the fonts and all of them but one were set to MS Shell Dig 2. I set that one to the same without resolution of the problem.

There are some problems with high resolution monitors like yours. Here are two possible solutions:

1) Override high resolution scaling behavior for OSCAR. See high resolution monitors wiki and click on oscar.exe rather than sleepyhead.exe.

2) On File/Preferences Appearances tab, try increasing the application font size to 20 and reducing the graph titles font to 10.

Please let me know how well either solution works.

It worked! A combination of both. I tried just the font size fix at first but that actually made everything way too big and I had to decrease the Scale and Layout percentage in the display setting in order to get back into the Appearance tab and reduce the font size. I then went back and tried the override which really did the trick. Some of the fonts were still too large so I had to tweak those again and voila! Thank you for your help!

Hi all,

I just setup OSCAR for the first time with FlashAir. It seems like several days have very large negative numbers for AHI. Other days seem normal and have the same numbers as in MyAir. Any idea what is causing this? Screengrabs attached.

Thanks!

I think those problems are fixed in the next version of Oscar. The session list shows two sessions with negatives times. They are probably very short sessions that have been misinterpreted.

When importing data, the import should do a machine serial number comparison between the current user and the data about to be imported.

If they are different, issue a Serial numbers are different, are you sure warning, before proceeding.

I currently manage data for my own machine and my sister-in-laws machine. I would just hate to clobber my data with months of her data, or vice versa. A check like this would greatly reduce the potential for this to happen.

I will log this as a suggestion. Best we can probably do is to compare the machine currently being imported with the previously imported machine since a profile may legitimately have multiple machines in its data.

It would be great if there was some instruction on importing the Sleepy Head Data into Oscar
Check under the Oscar Help tab:

Well I finally have something to say...

I just did an install(s) of Oscar and found some problems I don't know if you're aware of - or where I should have posted this if not here. I found that when you select a different folder for the data it doesn't ask the question about transferring the old SleepyHead data into the new Oscar data folder. If you let the install use the default new Oscar data folder, then it does ask the question about transferring the old data. I went ahead with the install thinking I could transfer the data after Oscar was running but NO. It requires a profile be defined before it will do just about anything and I wanted to use my existing profile. I re-re-installed it, letting it chose the default data folder so I could get it to transfer the old data. It transferred the data OK, but it put it in the new Oscar folder that I had just told it not to use! (It had just a minute ago let me chose my own folder!) Does this match what anybody else has encountered? BTW I'm running: Windows 10 64 bit ver 1909.

I think I'm going to run the system restore I made and do an install without the old data (800 MB!) and start a new data file. I'll keep the SleepyHead data just in case. Please let me know if there's any additional information I can provide. ...Nom...

These and other migration issues have been fixed for the next release.

OSCAR is never going to use an existing SleepyHead directory. What it will do is to migrate an existing SleepyHead directory into a new OSCAR_Data directory (or whatever you decide to name it). Migration consists of copying the SleepyHead files to the OSCAR data directory, making necessary changes to some of the files to work with OSCAR.

Right, it doesn't use it, it convert's it and puts it in a folder that's in a location that I didn't want it to use. So I installed it as normal letting it do what it wanted to do - folder wise. I copied that folder/data to a new folder I wanted to use and then went into the registry and changed Oscars definition to use the new folder that I originally wanted. Worked. Thank you for all the work you did and continue to do to convert SH to the big "O.". ...Nominal

Is it possible to import 2 different machine's data for the same day into 1 user? I have 2 machines, one for night time and one when I may nap watching tv during the day. Will Oscar ignore or overwrite some of the data when the 2nd. import is done?
