During high pollen seasons, I replace every other week or weekly if noticeable differences between new and current. Rest of the time, maybe monthly if I think about it.

thanks for the warning. i didn't say i was going to rush out and buy canned air exclusively for the purpose of cleaning filters. i have some to hand already as i use it for other purposes.

just never occurred to me to use it on the filters, is all.

Basically, replace them when they're discolored or "worn."

You might want to pack replacement filters when you travel, since you might experience different conditions away from home.

You sure must travel a lot. The few nights a year I spend at my daughters in Vegas I never need extension cords, weird plugs or filters for my pap. In fact I could probably get away with just not bringing it, as who the heck sleeps when they are traveling anyway.

For some reason. he's never been asked to stay., or come back. That's why he's a world traveler. Jim

When I was a World Traveler, I didn't get a Passport, and they kept us in a room with M.P. Guards at the door. 1we had to stay for a year, and the population tried to kill us. So much for World Travel!

I never leave home without mine.
No reason to let apnea ruin my "vacay".

One thing that was really strange for me is that before cpap, hotels were not good for my sleep. I would be awake most of the night, awake every hour, and a good 5-7 bathroom trips a night. I hated sleeping in hotels.

With cpap, I sleep really well in hotels. I fall asleep quickly. Maybe one bathroom trip. Usually 5+ hours before I wake up the first time. As good as at home and sometimes even better. Cpap really helped my enjoyment of travel.

I don't rest in hotels as well as I did back when I traveled a lot. For several years, my job required a lot of travel. This was prior to starting CPAP therapy. I was first diagnosed with obstructive sleep apnea around 1996, but I opted for surgery at that time. The machines back then were much larger than the machines today, and were convenient for air travel. I was already carrying a nebulizer machine in my briefcase and really didn't have room to pack the existing CPAP machines.
