I am a sleep technologist. We always suggest you use heated humidity with your machine it does help. ASV is a hard treatment and can build pressure. Sinus spray yes is good but if you over use it then it can have an opposite effect. I have seen patients were fluid builds up behind the ears for using to much sinus sprays.
More "sleep tech" advice, we all know what to do with that... Ignore it., Some people need humidity, some don't ..

"Fluid behind the ears"

Please share the diagram of alien physiology that makes this possible.

Perhaps ex-spurt sleep tech analysis confused hearing aids with fluid accumulations...

English is obviously not his 1st language and he probably meant behind ear drums... no need to be rude.

Quite a few of us don't use humidity at all. No problems.

Yeah, if it doesn't "build pressure", it's not working. Try turning it on or checking all the electrical connections.

No one recommended sinus spray. Surely you know what a saline nasal rinse is?

Oh, the claptrap needs to be refuted, lest it mislead those that don't know better... Good job, as usual.

"Not his 1st language"????
Not that I could see.
Also very much not a sleep tech--which is hinted at.
When people spew bull, it needs to be pointed out, to avoid harm.

I am just here to help I don’t care if you follow or like my advice or not Palerider. To answer other questions from other people I am talking about sprays. People may choose to do what they want I am just trying to help. Also palerider I worked hard to become a sleep technologist reading brain waves is not easy. You don’t like my advice than ignore it.

We don't need your low quality 'advice'.

Like most sleep techs, your advice isn't worth a plugged nickle.

However, if you stop posting and spend more time READING, you might learn something about the real world.

That's not how this forum works. That's not how any of this works.

If you give bad advice or make confusing posts, it will be corrected by people who know better. It's a type of peer review. It works very well.

You need to know that many people are here because they got bad advice and misinformation from sleep techs, DMEs, and doctors. Here, they are able to get many problems solved.

Yeah, try distilled water in the water chamber, cranking up the humidity setting, and using a heated hose (for comfort).
Or, just tap water.
No, never tap water- distilled water only.

Tap water that is safe to drink, at least.
In Europe, some cpap manuals simply say "water"--not "distilled water".
Many of us PREFER distilled water, because tap water just makes more work.
But is ok to use when DW is unavailable.

Why?

Are you aware that only in the US do the manuals that come with the machines mention distilled water. Everywhere else in the world there is zero mention of "distilled".

It won't kill you to use tap water...if it did...I wouldn't be here.

No, Any water that's safe to drink, not just distilled.

Distilled water is a *convenience* (debatable one, since you have to buy extra water and carry it around, or buy a distiller), but if that is less trouble than having to descale your water tank now and then, then it's a convenience.

But it's not *necessary*
