Curious if you (or anyone reading this) would consider going without the CPAP on a camping trip? Or a weekend away when it would be a pain to drag along the machine?
The last time I did that I had a terrible time staying awake the next day. It did, however, hasten my decision to buy a Tesla with autopilot (not that it can really drive me home).

Nobody smart, besides, all that noise from the snoring and snorting might cause a bear to come and eat you just to get some piece and quiet.
Oh yeah, the bear calls. Probably get a mountain lion's attention too. But I was just wondering.
I won't go backpacking anymore because of the stupid CPAP. I really wanted to go on a "field study" trip this spring with our local community college to Mesa Verde in CO and Chaco Canyon in NM. To study archaeology & art. I do take classes there, but most trips are open to the community. The point though is that they will be tent camping for 10 days and it would be an ordeal for me with the CPAP and needing electricity so I'm not going.

What is "tent camping"? Is that when you set up a tent in your back yard?
If by "tent camping" you mean setting up a tent 50 yards from from your car, then there would be no problem powering a cpap.

mebbe it's what city slickers do, unlike my grandfather and I did when I was a kid, we'd motor across the lake to some likely looking spot away from civilization, the haul out the cots, blankets and food, and set up under the stars... we didn't need no stinkin tent!!!

Well I never. And they work, too? Might give it a try.
Many thanks.
