It didn't take me very long to think about it, I just hadn't said anything about it... not being willing to sacrifice a p10... waiting for another one to develop a hole near the frame... it happened once, it'll probably happen again.
I have an old P10 frame/hose that I sacrificed the little arms to marry it to the Swift FX headgear. Maybe if I can muster up enough energy I will go dig it out of the stash box and see what kind of further surgery I can do on it.
Energy is in short supply right now. I need a nap.
I have also thought about the P10 hose but since I really prefer shorter instead of longer and I am quite satisfied with the flexibility of the Bleep hose....not had a lot of impetus to go dig out my inventor's cap.
Well, you've got my address if you want to get rid of it

First night report...
I love the Bleep...
Very happy for you! What a great first night.
Hang on, because if you're like me, you're going to experience way less arousals - and start feeling noticeably better. Just want to be prepare you for this.
You didn't mention the 0.0 AHI, is a very low AHI the norm for you?

To Kate......
Must have been a night where the aliens were screwing with Bleep users last night.

You, me, and Palerider....got the visit.
I had a port not clicked in leak happen in the wee hours of the morning...big enough leak to wake me up and first thing I did was reach up and push the ports and got a little click....so I guess I didn't have it clicked in securely but it didn't leak until the wee hours of the morning...probably had it really close to being secure and then with the tossing and turning I do I bumped it just right and knocked it out.
My face was buried in the bed pillow when I woke up with the leak so probably had put some extra stress on it somehow.
This is the first time I have had this happen later in the night. Always before I would notice immediately if I didn't have the port clicked in securely just as soon as I turned the machine on. Last night everything was fine until the wee hours of the morning.
Also do make sure that the little arms are in the correct spot....one arm has to be between the 2 little raised dots/bumps...and if one arm is in the right spot the other arm will be in the right spot...and there are 2 ports...so both ports have to have those little arms in the correct spot. I will try to get better pictures tomorrow when I can have some better lighting to work with. Those little bumps are hard to see and you can barely feel them. Off just a little and it can leak a bit but the leak will be intermittent...come and go with movement of the body.
Maybe last night you just had happen what happened to me last night. I attached the ports and they clicked in like they should and all was fine for the start of the night but maybe I just happened to have one of them not quite clicked in exactly and later in the night with my tossing and turning and probably putting a little torque on the mask when I buried my face in the bed pillow...it just came loose.
I haven't had time to check my report to see when the leak happened....and it seemed like the wee hours of the morning but it might have been sooner..I don't know for sure. I just haven't had time today to download the SD card.
I missed this first time round - Thanks Pugsy! Can someone tame those pesky aliens please?
I've decided to take a night off - I do still love the bleep, but I'm struggling with depression right now, and I could really use a good night of sleep, and I can't seem to solve the leak thing - I get everything clicked into place, and catch myself mouth breathing. I wrap myself in chinstraps and hairbands, and wonder what is the point of a strap free on-mask if my head is still trussed up.
Then last night the vent was squirting straight down the covers and chilling me.
I'm going to pull out the full face mask I have had sitting in a drawer for 5 years

I hear you....did you see Palerider's use of a ResMed filter to act as a diffuser for that pesky vent stream?
Short on time but he has a picture of it somewhere above. That's what I use as a diffuser.
The good news is that a clip on type of diffuser to hold whatever diffuser material we wish to use is on the horizon from the manufacturer....it's being fine tuned as we speak....but this stuff just takes time...have come up with something that someone else won't say infringes on their copyright and at the same time still does a good job and is stable.
And any of you wondering if I am maybe part of the trial for that...no..I am not. Maybe later once it gets more polish on it.

I do understand and take a night off if you need to. Step back and regroup...watch Jason's video again to make sure that you at least get the ports attached properly...when they are attached properly the mask is silent and won't leak. If you hear air when you first mask up...something isn't attached properly. Take a couple of the old/used ports and practice attaching.
If you need to chat about your struggles with the Bleep....I am here. I also understand about mouth leaks and is it worth it to have to truss ourselves up like a mummy just to get rid of mouth leaks. For me...I decided that as long as a little mouth leak didn't wake me up that I wouldn't go to mummy modifications to truss the mouth up. I found out a long time ago that doing those sort of extra measures actually ended up being more of a negative to my sleep quality than what a little leak might be a problem. This is an area you have to decide is the best way for you to get good sleep...if leaks wake you up then obviously they need to be fixed but if you sleep through them but your sleep quality is quite decent and you feel decent then maybe just let a little bit of mouth breathing slide.
Final thought about the mouth leaking if it is waking you....have you considered simply taping? I found it a lot less annoying than all those other mummy trussing up stuff.

Yes - I did this for a while- then it fell off and I didn't have any spare stuff to diffuse.

I wake more now I am on CPAP than I did before.
I have tried taping. I can try it again. Just not tonight.

I don't know how it could fall off, if done the way I suggested, pop the hose off, cut a + in the filter the same diameter as the round connection on the diffuser body, then shove the filter on, it fights tightly, then lock it on by snapping the hose on. I've had the same filter on since the second night I got the bleep.
You'd have to tear the filter to get it off.

Well, I didn't have any resmed filters around, so I did a similar thing with gauze

A little tape doesn't hurt anything.

Depends on where you put the tape.

0.0 AHI what no one else get them
Seriously since being on the ASV an AHI of 0.0 or 0.24 (one event over the nights sleep is typical) before on a normal machine my AHI was normally 10ish but could go as high as 30 all CA’s about 300 during about 30min of the night that was fun

Wow. Very glad you found the right machine!
Switching to nasal mask had the similar effect for me. One or two events a night is my normal now as well.
But my starting point wasn't anything like yours. That ASV must be a life changer for you. That's awesome.

I've leaned how to take mine off without ripping skin off my lips. Only happened once. Ouch.

So who can add the Bleep DreamPorts to the list of masks you can pick in the equipment profile?

I've used the Bleep Dreamport for a week but it does not look like it's working for me and I don't know why. It is the first CPAP I've ever had and I've had dozens, that does not leak. Also, I do not suffer a dry mouth typically and my wife does not report me mouth breathing either. She has let me know in the past when that's a problem because it keeps her awake and she doesn't think that's an issue. To be safe, I tried taping and chin straps but that is even more annoying than any mask.
Here is last night's Sleepyhead data. My sleep feels very restless with me waking up and falling asleep all the time the CPAP is on and the data reflects that. Any thoughts?
