You go girl. I knew you could do it. Did hubby have any complaints last night about noise?
No he didn't!
I still have some snoring and events, and I really need to have my story straight when I am at the hospital on Thursday. I'm thinking that there is no point pushing to 18-20, since with EPR at 3, it will be dropping to 17 on exhale.
Should I experiment with 18-20, EPR 2?

My reports are rarely "perfect" I always have some little something that points to less than perfection in something but you know what....as long as I slept decently then I just don't care. A little snore blip....I don't care...a little mouth leak...I don't care.
Now if something wakes me up no matter how small it might be...then I care.
If your report was my report...I would leave things alone. I don't see that going to 18 minimum would make that big of a difference on paper.
You could try it and use EPR at 2 but I seriously doubt that little bit of minimum increase would make much of a difference and it really isn't an urgent need to try it.
So your choice...are you curious enough to see what would happen to try it? Sometimes being curious enough is a good enough reason to try something. Been there myself. I once went up to 13 cm minimum to see if it changed anything....it didn't.

I think I would be pushing more for a Resmed VAuto BiLevel Machine as this has the potential for higher pressure if needed your pretty close to the max pressure limits of the Resmed 10 Autoset

That is what I think. I feel like I have no safety net. I really need a solid argument for this though.
What MIGHT cause me to need more pressure temporarily?

Supine sleeping.
REM stage sleep.
Medication side effects.
Good old age related sagging of everything.
Aerophagia monster might come calling.
Comfort with inhale and exhale...3 EPR is nice...4 or 5 PS with the bilevel is even better. You might get to a point where you aren't so good with 3 difference.

I was thinking suggesting you find the pressure hard to breath out against so would like more pressure relief than an EPR of 3 can give, like a PS of 4

Your comfort is your best solid argument....tell them you are having a hard time exhaling against your pressures even with EPR of 3.
It is the argument that isn't temporary and they are most familiar with anyway.
Trust me....while 3 is nice.....4 or 5 is even more nice.

I can do 3 easily enough but I really prefer 4. Makes it almost feel like no pressure at all is being used. SWEET.

I woke in the night with a cough.
It is not easy to cough with a taped mouth!
So I ripped off my mouth taping, and had a good cough.
Then I had to decide if I was going to get up, go back to sleep with tape, or go without tape. I decided on the last one.
Not wise.

Guess what time I coughed!
I have changed settings to 18-20, EPR 2 as tonights experiment. I want to see if I can stop the snoring.

I hope you see and appreciate the big positives here. Looks like you've figured out the tape job that works for you. And I doubt that you missed the 0.5 AHI
This is fantastic! Especially the tape part. I've leaned that this leads directly to better sleep.
BTW - faced with the same decision myself one week ago. Made the same choice. Suffered the same consequences. But over a longer period of time.
You're doing a great job. I'm impressed with your hard nosed dedication.

Wish my nose was harder some days! I have been suffering from a few sore patches and scratches with all the cleaning and glue and sticky remover.
I wish there was a way to avoid leaks that didn't make it so difficult to communicate with my husband, cough, and vomit.
But if wishes were wings.........

or sign language.
We actually both qualified in sign language over 20 years ago.
I was trying to increase my skills as a teacher, and wanted to learn sign language. My boss said she would take classes with me, and then my husband also decided to do the class. We both took the CACDP stage 1 qualification in British Sign Language. I was subsequently able to work with a deaf student at one of my schools.
The problem is that Hubby doesn't remember much of it.
