Enterprising fiction writers can get paid to write "reviews" for products they have never seen.
For a fee, I'll write positive things about Zonker's mummy strap picture. It will have to be a lot, though.

Okay, so from what I can tell, BBB is definitely legit.

Bummer, though, that no one knows about this rehabmart. Oh, well.
Okay, sportsfans, what about this place?

Okay, sportsfans, what about this place?
Are you aware that this forum...free from annoying ads and all that...is sponsored by cpap.com?
They pay the bills so we can have this forum and while they don't get all in a snit when we post links to online competitors....it's sort of considered rude or not PC to keep posting competitor link stuff.
Cpap.com will price match other competitors WHEN THEY CAN...sometimes the manufacturer simply won't let them sell cheaper than their contract stipulates. Mainly it's ResMed stuff...ResMed won't let anyone do anything with the prices unless they okay it if you signed a contract with ResMed.
Those other people/places advertising lower prices...you can bet they didn't sign a contract with ResMed to get their inventory directly from ResMed. They will be getting their inventory from some place other than directly from ResMed or ResMed just hasn't caught them and pulled their right to buy wholesale from ResMed.
The bulk of the forum members here will be using either cpap.com or secondwindcpap.com for just about all machine purchases outside private purchases.
Please don't go one by one through the list of online cpap suppliers that are competitors to cpap.com and ask if anyone has used them.
Maybe instead ask in general what other online suppliers (like cpap.com) people have used and ask them to PM you their responses.
You won't get tons of them anyway.
I just don't like giving free ad space to the competitors when they don't help pay the bills.

I agree that, for new machines especially, this thread is off-topic for the forum and is not marked as such.
Vendor search on their forums, not this one.

Ah, okay, sorry for the faux pas. Won't happen anymore. Thanks for letting me know.
Okay, well, this feels safe to ask: from the company you mentioned, it looks like I can get a machine with about 1,500 hours on it. Does that sound like a good number of hours for a used machine?

Technically, it is OK to "shop around".
Just remember that
Cpap.com MATCHES PRICES

You talking about secondwindcpap? Usually their "gently used low hour machines" have way less than that number of hours on them.
I know people who bought "used" with only 8 hours on the machine.
They just won't buy machines with more than 2 K hours on them.
1500 to 2K hours...at 7 hours a night equals about 215 to 285 nights...and for machines that will usually go well beyond 5 years of use...not bad usage at all. Wouldn't scare me off one bit. I once bought a used machine with 2700 hours on it and was thrilled to get it.
I put another 8 K hours on it and it was still working fine when I gave it to someone who needed it worse than I did.

Yes, secondwindcpap. Yeah, I was surprised myself at how many hours were "low." I asked what the lowest hour machine they currently had in stock was, one that I could register the myAir app with (I'll use Sleepyhead, but would also like to be able to try out the app), and that's what she told me. But if that still seems fair, then I will likely just go with that, since they seem like a good company. I'd certainly like to get one with less hours, but that is not easy. I've reached out to a couple members mentioned here before, and no luck yet with that. I feel like I could get a better deal than this, but I honestly don't know where to look at this point. :/

If hours is a critical issue...get a new open box deal from secondwind if you can afford it.
They don't really keep a running inventory of which machine has what hours on it and I am surprised you were told 1500 hours by someone.
I think that is probably a worst case scenario CYA thing.
I have known people buy "used" and get a zero hour machine at the "used" price from seconwind....and more than one person.
Personally I don't even consider a machine much in the "used" category until it had 300 or more hours on it. Less than 100 I consider essentially new.

YMMV of course.

Wow, so from the sound of it, this is not actually a very good deal. She did say that that was the lowest amount of hours for a machine that I could register to use the app. Maybe there are some that you can't register that have lower hours. Man I wish this was simpler....

Perspective wise... 1500 hours is just around a half years usage.

LSAT and a few others here tend to find good machines to sell to forum users.
Just another idea.

I don't know who "she" is but I am willing to bet that she probably doesn't know a whole lot and doesn't really understand all that much about those machines and "apps".
Send an email Addressed to "Mark" (god I hope I remember the name right) and ask him if he has a low hour (insert your preferred low point) model (insert whatever it is you want) and ask him if he has one. Tell him I sent you.
