My vote is let the dialog continue. Preferably private, but public if it has to be.

If there are reasons Mark is hurt, he deserves fully to be heard. He's "earned" that much.

If there are ways you, SS, can support the good done by the program, we all benefit--even those of us, like me, who have never downloaded or used the program but greatly respect what it stands for and greatly respect those looking for ways to support its existence.

Just my 2 cents as a nobody with no dog in this "fight."
