I hope the image can be read-able enough for you awesome people to help me. I posted settings because they werent viewable in the normal screenshot if not needed let me know.

I did have a moment I woke up at 4 am for a while because of an important call. this sleep interruptions almost never happen.

Thank you!
are you still feeling any suffocation? feeling okay all around after waking up?

yes, those are terrific numbers, but numbers alone don't mean as much.

I ended up turning off the RAMP feature because I was wondering why my pressure was starting at 4.0 and not 8.2 with a max of 20.0 like I had put on the settings. 4.0 was suffocating me!

And yes I did turn off the machine during that call. At least I think I did. But I was completely awake.

Thanks!

Honestly I feel better than yesterday. But I won't know exactly until later on today (I get tired around 6-7 pm) and later days as this night was my only night using Autoset over regular CPAP.

I'm glad im getting good feedback. Thanks!

So here are the last 4 nights I've had:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

I certainly feel better in the morning now, I've been clean the last 2 weeks almost from sudafed + coffee every morning just to get some energy going. I don't need it to feel awake. I certainly do feel tired around 3-4 pm but its not bad as before. I have a couple of questions:

1) Do the numbers besides obstructive sleep apneas on sleepyhead when i scroll over them mean I wasnt breathing for that many seconds?

2) anything I can do to fix obstructive sleep apneas?

3) can i expect better results continuing my therapy? like more energy after 3 pm? better ability to retain information? or whats the next step from here?

thanks guys youre all amazing!

I'm not an expert hopefully they will jump in soon but I will try to help. :)

1.) my understanding is those numbers are how long the event happened.

2.) I don't think you can fix it. Only manage it with cpap.

3.) your numbers look pretty good to me. I think you are in fine tuning area. I got my ahi down to under 1 most nights by slowly bumping my min pressure a little bit at a time. I've only been on pap since October and have only had my therapy dialed in for a few months. (I was struggling with mask issues) but I do feel more energy. I don't feel like I am retaining information better yet. It might be because I have damaged myself from being untreated for so long or maybe its just because I am getting older and have other medical issues like thyroid which also causes brain fog.

The only thing that "fixes" OA is more pressure

If that was my chart, I'd lift the min to 10, to see if it clears some stuff. It is about your median. Half the time it's lower pressure, half the time it's higher. Other than that, the chart looks good. I doubt you would need 11. You have raised your starting pressure from 4 and the low pressure may have been a reason for feelings of suffocation. Keep an eye on the leaks, to see if they need sorting later.

You're welcome. Crossing my fingers for you. :) Hopefully you will start getting more energy as you start sleeping better.

You mentioned you are a mouth breather but using a nasal mask and taping your mouth shut. I would think this is the biggest part of your suffocation feel. I would suggest a proper full face mask. Secondly your air pressure may be too low. Mine was set as prescribed by my doctor and I can't change it unless I notify him and the supplier resets it. I started out at 18, thought it was causing much seal linkage, so I requested 15 and it is much better. Try the mask and higher level and your results should improve.
