Thank you!

Thanks, Zonker. Everyone is busy and I don't want to waste anyone's time. Thank you for your warm words!

I am just wondering if turning off Flex will make any difference in the centrals/CAs or not.
I have my doubts but there is a slim outside chance it might. Worth trying.
Well, an AHI of 50 surprised me! I found breathing with Flex off to be easier and more comfortable, and so was expecting a lower score when I turned the machine off this morning. Should I give it another night with Flex off (I can't think of anything that happened which would have skewed the results)?
Thank you!

Holy crap. That's a big difference from a small change and definitely in the wrong direction.
I assume that you feel like you slept fairly solidly at least for the bulk of the night????
Some questions...
What position do you normal sleep in...especially last night.
Do you take any medications of any kind? If so, what?
Any other change with anything that might have occurred last night?
Try one more night with Flex off just to see if this was some sort of weird fluke.

Ha, right? I feel like I slept slightly better than I do with Flex on, but an app I use (Pillow) indicates that "Sleep Quality" dropped from 60% to 48%. I sleep on my side, but flop back and forth during the night which means I awake briefly to turn over. Last night, I was on my side(s). As usual, I woke up with a headache (home sleep tests report that my spO2 stays above 92, fwiw).
As far as medicines, I only take a thyroid supplement and vitamin D (50,000 IU/wk per doctor).
I can't think of any changes to my routine that occurred last night.
Thank you for your help Pugsy!

Hi
This is more for Pugsy than the OP, but the pressure indicated in the graph on the night with 50.x is around 5, but the nights when the AHI is in the 12's the pressure line is around 11 with a relief down to 8.2? This could account for the dramatic increase in AHI? Could the OP have accidentally changed the pressure, or am I reading the graph wrong?

Thanks Bill...I missed that.
Hey...Midnight Prowler...go into the clinical set up menu and check to see if EZStart is turned on...if it is...turn it OFF.
Set it to regular CPAP mode at the 10.5 cm pressure with Flex Off.
No wonder if felt so easy...
Use ramp if 10.5 isn't so easy.

I think there might be a bug in Sleepyhead also because it is saying his setting at 10.5cm/h20 in fixed cpap mode.

I am betting he accidentally went to EZStart mode....I have seen this before. Not a SH bug unless he tells me that he wasn't in EZStart....the reported AHI...pretty much points to a much lower pressure.
EZStart mode starts with a really low setting all night long and slowly...very slowly over a month...will work up to the setting that has been set.
Stupidest thing I have ever seen done.

I missed it too... I just looked at the top where it said "pro" and 10.5... doh!
"EZSTART", possibly the worst, most stupid feature *EVER*.

The pressure trace, and the min/avg/max numbers all show 5... I just didn't look that far down this morning.

I didn't look either...saw all those events and freaked out wondering what the hell the aliens had been doing last night.
In my defense...I am not myself...so people probably should be double checking. I simply didn't look far enough.
Glad Bill caught it.
Whoever at Respironics came up with EZStart....should be horsewhipped.

Yup, I turned on EZstart thinking it would start the ramp feature automatically instead of hitting the button when the CPAP started operating. /fail
So, here is Friday night's results, with EZstart and CFLEX both off. Better, but I seem to be stuck in the tens range.
Thank you!

Were you awake very much last night? I see at least one break in therapy so I know of at least one.
The 00:45 cluster....do you think you might have been awake then?
Try 11.5 cm pressure tonight.
