Four things determine the amount of water you use:
Relative humidity of your bedroom
Temperature of the air going through the machine
Humidity level you choose
Your treatment pressure
+ mask design leak
+ circuit unintentional leak
+ BPM
+ tidal volume
+ size of indoor pets
+ unspecified

I found part of the problem. My room temperature was 66°. I hate sleeping in a warm room. My medical supplier told me to bump the room temp to 70°, which I did. Low and behold I have water in my tank in the morning. However, I can’t sleep in 70° so I compromised at 68° and still have water in the morning.

I have this same problem. the system one never ran out of water. Also, the plastic in the system one tank was much higher quality than the dreamstation. When DS runs out of water, patients are awakened by a hot plastic smell that is very disagreeable.

It sounds like you got a DEFECTIVE machine.
Time to lean on the supplier--HARD.
