I have changed DME's several times.
Most times I did it very quietly--except when an old one started phoning me
to "remind" me that supplies were "due".
I firmly stated that I had taken my business elsewhere--and to please stop calling me.
I tried quietly. A week after I had told them I was done because I didn't like being lied too and and to please cancel ALL orders, they sent me a package with 2 cushions and two filters.
I could see via the tracking number that the package was sent out several days after I had said I was done and that is when I came unglued. My hair might be grey now but the redhead still lives inside me. Since they refuse to return calls I went into their office asked for a manager and told them they were taking that stuff back and that I had better *@$&ing not see those charges show up on my insurance. I really don't like having to throw a fit but enough is enough. They have charged me out of pocket over $400 for a machine and supplies that my insurance has paid everything but $97. There is more but this message is turning into a book that no one wants to read

If they do it again, you could tell them that anything else they send will be considered a *gift*

I use them. I had to call them every month when I was still renting/buying my CPAP machine, because my bill was wrong. They would bill me incorrect every month. Just make sure you are paying what your EOB says you should be paying. Also, one month I received some else’s order.

Most of the decent one's do not accept Medicare because the large garbage DMEs have out bid them for the Medicare contracts. Consequently, they have to cut corners every where they can in order to remain profitable.

I too use Verus even though I live in Washington state. They were the only place I could get my mask(Circadiance Advance). They email me when Medicare will cover a replacement. I mark what I need and they send quickly. I have secondary insurance so no charge. Had trouble at first with other companies so I stay with Verus . I did buy my new machine from a local storefront. I called first to tell them which machines I wanted to see and saw no bricks. They dont mail supplies though so Verus is easier.

There are some other online suppliers who do accept insurance in lieu of payment but they don't always accept (have an in networking contract) with all insurance companies.
Verus works with some insurance but not necessarily all insurance.
And then there are the differences between plans....it might be that Verus works with some BC/BS plans but not other BC/BS plans.
Each plan can be totally different from someone else's plan.
You can use any DME you wish...but if you want to have insurance pay on something you have to use the DME they have in their network...or either pay higher out of pocket for out of network provider or all out of pocket if they don't offer reduce coverage for out of network providers.

Oh.... I knew what you meant.
I said what I said because I figured someone with BC/BS would come along and say " I have BC/BS and I use Verus and they do too work with Verus and I love them"....
BC/BS has a gazillion plans within each state...even more gazillions across the country with all 50 states.
I am pretty sure that I have seen BC/BS listed as someone that Verus does business with but at the same time in little bitty fine print they say...need plan verification.
Though I do wonder if the list you were provided is an up to date accurate list.
The reason I ask this is sometimes lists are wrong or incomplete. I had that happen to me just last year...my provider (my doctor in my situation) I was using was not on the list but he was indeed part of the in network thing..
See the list. BC/BS of Arizona is on the list
https://verushealthcare.com/insurance/
but they do say
call to see if we are in network with your specific plan

I too have been looking for alternate to rotech here in Illinois . told my doctors nurse ( provides me prescription ) that rotech employees wear tin foil on their heads . what a joke they are . it was so bad (i was new at cpap ) , just getting equipment starting therapy , nurse called her go to at rotech and they delivered equipment . at least airsense 10 , but no help on masks . still exploring dme alternate .

Old thread. I never did try rotech. After calling around and getting the same or worse bs from other places I stuck with the original DME who, for the moment, seems to have pulled their heads out.
