Any words of encouragement out there? Ready to give up. When I don't use CPAP at all, mostly I'm fine in the morning, sometimes headache and hangover feeling. Thank you to whoever read this whole thing.
this may be tough to actually do, but try not looking at the clock. take it out of the room if you can. the stress i can't begin to comment upon. i'm lucky enough to sleep at night and not have the stress monster.
have you considered a nasal pillow mask like the P10? less area to leak from.

If you go back to your very first post and click on the little pencil icon on the forum editor it will bring up your comments so you can edit them...the subject line can also be edited from that box.

No clock in the room. I have a watch on my nightstand that I can light up by pushing the little button in. I only check the time if I wake in the middle of the night so I can see the time. If it's 5 am, I'll get up. If it's 1:30 am, too early. I know what exactly you mean about not looking at the clock.
I'll look at the P10. I may have to scruncie-up if I want to try it.

"scunci", you'll see it in the hair care aisle or off of amazon.
good luck!

Hi Chris, I'm hearing you on the sleep thing, though thankfully not as bad as you. I also really admire the way you've persisted with CPAP despite it all. I tried 3 years ago, found I wasn't sleeping, and decided it was stupid to give myself insomnia using a device that was supposed to give me better sleep. I also had crap going on in my life and it all got a bit too much. So I packed up my machine, stuffed it in the back of a cupboard and tried to forget about it. I've been suffering all sorts of "mystery ailments" since. When I found myself sleeping less than 5 hours a night and stuck working from home during the pandemic (and able to work flexible hours), I finally thought I have to put the effort in, so I'm back using my machine with this forum to help me get through it. Tonight will by my 50th ever hooked up to my machine (yay me!) And I just wanted to say good on you for persisting and not giving up like I did. I know it's hard. I might be on the other side of the world but I hear you and hope things improve for you.

Chris, I'm really sorry life is so tough for you these days. The fact that you've posted here says to me you know you've got to stick with the apnea treatment even though it is irritating you to bits.
I would be really curious to know how you'd do with a P10, as Zonker suggests. If you don't want to go the scunci route, you could try tape. I use Somnifix and don't know what I'd do without it. It's very easy on the skin and yet sticks well enough to do the job. For me, I just don't really notice it's there during the night.

Hi Chris,
I had a lot of issues with mask leaking as I am at higher pressures (15-20). The best i found was the Fisher and Paykel Vitera. I get very little leaks and it stays quite stable when tossing and turning.
Not sure if this will help you but thought I would share my experiences.
Good luck getting this under control.

Does the piece on your forehead bother you at all? Looks so uncomfortable. Does it leave marks on your head?

Honestly does not bother at all. I can fit my finger under it and it does not leave any mark.
What it does seem to do is stabilize the mask when rolling around and help keep it from moving up on my face. I found the Resmed F20 kind of rode up my face and I constantly was pulling it down to maintain the seal.
As well because of the way the headband and nose piece are designed it can't be over tightened. therefor the pressure on the bridge of the nose is quite minimal.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZTvziBMUg94&t=766s is a pretty good review and shows what I mean about the nose. Hope Im allowed to post that video, if not I am sorry.
