Sleepyhead installation on Debian 9.x and Ubuntu 18.04 LTS failed (I think)

I've used Synaptic to install the 'sleepyhead' package from the repository on both Debian 9 and Ubuntu 18.04. The installation failed as far as I can tell, because I can't find the application in the menu or CLI. I can provide more specifics about the desktop environment, etc. but I thought maybe I am just missing something obvious.

Thanks

According to Jedimark's website, Sleepyhead has been released for Ubuntu 15.04 only; all other distros/versions will require building from source.

On my Ubuntu 18.04 I installed PlayonLinux (WINE). Then installed the Windows version of SleepyHead through PlayonLinux. Works great.

Hm, weird. I wonder how common it is for a broken package to make it through 3 OS version upgrades without being removed. Thanks for pointing this out.

Snap, didn't think of that. I now got
SleepyHead-1.0.0-beta-2-Snapshot-Win32-OpenGL-20160422
installed under PlayonLinux; and it works.

Thanks mate

The EXE version failed to install under PlayonLinux. Do you know what file type the Linux version is supposed to bet? It's not an archive or DEB.
Thanks

try using dpkg -L sleepyhead or whatever the name of the package was, find out where the binary went.
It's probably SleepyHead (funny capitalization)

Just because it was *built* on 15.04 doesn't mean that's all it'll run on.

Silly indeed. Got it working now naively under Debian and Ubuntu. Well done you
Cheers
