Pressure too low, it starts events, and once a cluster of them starts, and sleep is disturbed and poor,
sometimes it ends up taking more pressure to 'break the cycle' so to speak, than it would to prevent the cluster starting in the first place.
I just learned something.
Thanks palerider.
Again, I'd say "it's rare", certainly not common place, but I've seen it with multiple people. Get the min up enough that they don't get started, and they're smooth and easy... get 'em started on a train of apneas, and it just goes on and on while pressure builds and builds... I'm sure there's some explanation... I just don't know what it is.

So its been a few weeks and this is what I have found.
The first few weeks I was playing around with my minimum pressure settings, going incrementally higher over a period of days/weeks. I figured that if I had received a CPAP instead of a APAP, my setting would have been 8.2 as per the doctors prescription. So why not increase the minimum? That's when I noticed my number of events increasing. From 5 I had gone as high as 8.5 or so. I never changed the upper limit.
Feb 4th I set my machine back to the prescription pressure settings of 5-12. Low and behold, my number of apnea events dropped in average. Also, the required pressures dropped as well. This is still a relatively short period of time and I will leave the setting where they are for a while to see what happens.
Yes I know....post some graphs! I am looking at results on Sleepyhead. Like I said before, its a LOT of data and I am slowly correlating it all. When I figure out how to post some graphs, I will. I'm sure you guys will be able to make more sense of it than me.

I just noticed that my posted "best night" is only for 1.34 hours. Shows I slept at 1:57 and woke at 3:31. I think the 3:31 was when I actually turned the machine off and back on to turn off the ramp feature. But I went back to sleep?? Will the last few hours get tagged onto tonight's hours?

Follow the instructions below in my sig about how to post, and redo your graphs.

I sort of thought the pro's here would find what is needed quickly. I'll find a way to sort it out then, but thanks anyway.

The pro's will help out, but they need to see the sleepyhead graphs in a specific way.
Follow the instructions on how to set up your graphs, like Palerider told you, and he or another will do their best to help you.

There are no "pros" here....just amateur volunteers. No one gets paid anything. Some of the amateur volunteers do have years of experience though.
If I can't see what I need to see then all I can do is make a WAG....wild ass guess and I don't do guesses. I simply won't do it when data is available but I can't see it. There is a reason behind why we ask for certain details to be presented a certain way on these reports.
It's so be can offer something besides WAGs.
So you want an answer quickly but don't want to provide what someone might need to offer ideas...I don't know what to tell you.

If you can't post
what we need, then we can't find what YOU need.
We don't have crystal balls, we aren't psychic.

You have to give us what we ask for so that we can help you, not just, like Pugsy says, make guesses.
