I have had the dream station for about 2 weeks as an update since I had my other machine for 10 years. I have the heated tube and hoped it would help with condensation build up in my tube.
When I turn it on it heats up, humidity setting on 5. In the morning when I go to feel the hot plate it is cold and so is the water. The heated tube I have on 0, and have tried different settings. I wake up with my mouth dry and glued shut. I have a nasal mask.

Heated tube set to 0 means the heated hose itself is turned off.
Hose air temp as absolutely nothing to do with the amount of humidity being delivered.
You need to check for warmth at the beginning of the night after about 15 minutes of the machine being on to see if it is working or not.
See this thread...yes I know a different brand but the reasons are the same.
