Looking at the graph with the vertical lines on it shows the OA's and H's, but does each vertical line represent 1 apnea and 1 hypopnea? What about the darker bar, is that 5 events or one event lasting longer? This mornings report had 24 vertical lines for the OA. 5 during the first hour, 3 the 2nd hour etc and 6 in the 4th hour.....yet the Encore Pro Analyzer said I had 42 obstructive apneas. I don't see them on the sleep therapy details very clearly. It (the Analyzer )also said that the average apnea duration was 19.3 seconds and that I spent 13.5 minutes in apnea. That's information that is helpful to know.

That 13.5 minutes is what would bother me, that's 13.5 minutes of not breathing.

Most of the time I spent 12 sec in apnea and they are 12 sec long. One time in the last two months I went to 70 sec, that was a very bad night Jim

Tell me about it! I am trying everything I can to bring it down. I am inching up my pressure 1 cm at a time to see if that helps. Today I got a new profile lite mask from my DME that is just a half size bigger than the one I had in my sleep study. Hopefully this one won't bruise the bridge of my nose so bad.

Also staying with the nasal mask versus my full face mask (FP 431) seems to lower my AHI drastically.

Last night was much better! With the new mask my AHI for the night was 2.8, with only 21 total events, 15 of which were apneas. Total time in Apnea last night was 4 minutes with a duration of 16 seconds.

Now I undestand why Encore Pro is not giving me the graph in CPAP mode with only one pressure. I should have thought of that!

Don't forget, you need more than 1 nights data. Give it a few nights (a week is great) then look at all the data.

That is probably true but when you first get the software it is like Christmas and you can hardly wait to get up and open the gifts!!

I know, I checked mine every day too. Just wait till you have 1 weeks worth before making any changes.
