That'll correct the runaway pressure increase and fix the large quantity of VS2? I was wondering if the sudden turn for the worse may be indicative of a mechanical issue as I felt my current pressure was handling my sleep apneas quite well. The last 3 night posted are drastically different than the norm which I shared one post earlier. Perhaps I'm misinterpreting the graphs. Also, the blower is a lot louder than it used to be. I think the VS2 may be picked up from the vibration but I'm not sure. I'm not currently in my home town so I can't get it checked out by my sleep therapist.

So...even though I changed/cleaned my filters approx 2 weeks ago, they were completely plugged again. Cleaned/changed them again and the blower sounds normal/quiet again. The filters were plugged with a fine white dust that's coming from the ultrasonic humidifier I have to run in my room to raise the ambient humidity. I'm confident that this was the problem but I'll let you know how tonight goes for confirmation that things are back to normal.

meh... I wouldn't call it 'quite well', maybe 'ok'. the spikes in the pressure line only happen when your breathing is very smooth and regular. (bizzaro weird behavior out of the respironics machines)

I'd have said to check the filters, based on the last paragraph in your previous message, but you already did.

Can you move the humidifier further away?

That fine white dust is the minerals in the water.

Some water filters will help remove some of that, I know brita is one, zero water claims it too.

I did relocate the humidifier across the room. I'm only here for another month and brought extra filters with me so I'll just keep a closer eye on them. Here's to a better snooze tonight and a good lesson learned. Thanks for checking in PR.

Just so I understand correctly, you're saying that if it stays at 10 let's say all night and I see the spikes, that I should still increase the minimum pressure?

Respironics machines have a (to me) very perverse way of behaving.

When you're doing *great*, really even breathing, the machine seems to get restless and starts poking at you with those pressure spikes, to if it can make things better... (when they're already great.... just zoom in and look at how even the breathing is).

But, when your breathing is more ragged and uneven, and a bit more pressure could help, the machine sits on it's figurative hands *and does nothing*... not even any pressure spikes.

So, the more spikes, the better, with a PR machine.

I suggested a little more pressure, because even on the best night, there's significant spikeless sections.

Gotcha; I will give it a shot after tonight's test to make sure the preceding issue is resolved.

Problem solved; slept much better last night. I also bumped up the minimum to 11. Lesson learned.

A little off topic for a therapy thread but I don't want to start another thread on what seems to be a controversial subject at the moment. I am currently using SH v1.0.0-beta-2 but have downloaded 1.1.0-testing2 but not yet installed it. I haven't really had any issues with v1.0.0 other than the odd crash that usually happens during the "Quit" process when I'm done using SH. Is there any benefit for me to install v1.1.0?

Also, is it possible to have my username changed? If so, who would I contact?

With your machine no real benefit using the 1.1 beta it runs a bit faster but that’s it

I assume you mean your screen ID here at the forum??
If so you need to contact Carolyn Goodman...she can handle changing names.
