Our phone number in Montana was one digit off from a popular local pizza place. We would get quite a few wrong numbers, especially on Friday and Saturday nights. One night, we had another couple over for a game night, and The wife of the other couple said she could stop all of the wrong numbers. She simply started taking orders and told everyone that if they showed up wearing a red shirt or red blouse, the pizza was half price. She even told a few people the pizza would be free if they wore red. The wrong numbers stopped after that night. Of course, we never ordered a pizza from them. We were afraid they might recognize our number.
