Seriously? Good thing to keep in mind when evaluating your 'advice' to people.
Really? You are trying to use my forthright mea culpa to attack me?
Your inattention and not even knowing, or apparently, caring what board you are posting on speaks volumes towards your credibility.

Pointing that out isn't an 'attack'.

You mean you've never gotten a couple of very similar things in life confused even for a moment?

Wow!

Notice anything missing from your post? You can't actually name anything innacurate in my post other than my already admitted error about which of two simmilar forums I was posting to. So, yes, your post is a logical fallacy. Lacking anything material to take issue with you just decided to attack me instead.

Knew you couldn't leave that alone. Yes it is. Give it a rest.

Your opinion is noted. But if you truly want to control what other people post, you should go become a moderator on apneaboard.

I know you don't like me, because I point out the fallacy of your defense of soclean, but that doesn't make you controller here.

You are a bully plain and simple. Someone makes an honest mistake, makes apologies, and you feel the need to kick them. What a miserable little life you must lead.

Okay so I finally got some info from the clinic. Because I have medicaid I will see the doc again tomorrow (I assume to tell me what my titration was?) then I have to wait till they send the prescription to whoever Oregon health plan contracts through (maybe Norco?) who will apparently call me. This seems a bit ridiculous at this point: go in for a study, come back for a five second visit with doc a couple weeks later, come back in for titration a couple weeks later, come back for a doc visit again later, then wait for the doc to send the prescription and the DME to get around to me? Oh please don't mind me with my debilitating fatigue and my 82% oxygen at night. I'll just wait.

Anyway, beside the rant, my question has more to do with making sure I'm armed with what I need to ask or know going into the doc appointment tomorrow. I was actually able to track down what my insurance covers exactly (other than the the machine itself. I still have no idea about that or what to ask). Here is what I found.

A4604 - 1 per 3 months; Tubing with integrated heating element
(B) A7027 - 1 per 3 months; Combination oral/nasal mask used with continuous positive airway pressure device
(C) A7028 - 2 per month; Oral cushion for combination oral/nasal mask, replacement only
(D) A7029 - 2 per month; Nasal pillows for combination oral/nasal mask, replacement only, pair
(E) A7030 - 1 per 3 months; Full face mask used with positive airway pressure device
(F) A7031 - 1 per month; Face mask interface, replacement for full face mask,
(G) A7032 - 2 per month; Replacement cushion for nasal application device
(H) A7033 - 2 per month; Replacement pillows for nasal application device,
(I) A7034 - 1 per 3 months; Nasal interface (mask or cannula type) used with positive airway pressure device, with or without head straps
(J) A7035 - 1 per 6 months; Headgear, used with positive airway pressure device
(K) A7036 - 1 per 6 months; Chin strap, used with positive airway pressure device
(L) A7037 - 1 per 3 months; Tubing, used with positive airway pressure device
(M) A7038 - 2 per month; Filter, disposable, used with positive airway pressure device
(N) A7039 - 1 per 6 months; Filter, non-disposable, used with positive airway pressure device
A7046 - 1 per 6 months; Water chamber for humidifier, used with positive airway pressure device, replacement,
Either a non-heated (E0561) or heated (E0562) humidifier is covered when ordered by the treating practitioner for use with a covered PAP device (E0470, E0601

From this I see that I need to make sure the doc puts a humidifier on my prescription. Is there anything else I really need to know before I go in? Or before I talk to the DME if by some miracle they get back to me right away?

People are always getting all impatient about the delays in treatment, forgetting that they've been dealing with this for months, if not years, and it's not an emergency, or even urgent.

All that x per x months stuff is BS, stuff lasts way longer than that minimum amount of time they'll pay for new stuff.

No doubt I'm sure, but I've experienced a pretty rapid decline in how I'm feeling lately to the point where I feel so exhausted it makes me feel panicky. So to me it is indeed urgent. Or at very least feels much more urgent than months between referral for a sleep study and actually having a machine.

As a side note I've likely been dealing with this since at least 2002 when I fell asleep after a full nights sleep and rolled my car off a 6 foot drop. However my health has gotten much worse more lately.

That's good to know. It's still good to know what I can get if needed. Also what accessories are allowed.

Thank you Lucyhere. I was able to call the DME they sent my subscription to and looks like that machine plus the mask I want to try should be no problem. You helped me a ton. Thank you!
