as you can plainly see, i wandered in here june 19 of 2015. and despite the best efforts of some, you all didn't run me off!

you've grown to accept (tolerate??) me over the years. i'm glad for my time here. and happy that i can pay back the debt i owe others, by paying it forward in any small way i can.

never would have thought that i would last out cpap. was fairly certain that first year that i would chuck the whole thing and become yet another statistic in the graph of those who couldn't tolerate cpap.

thanks to some very patient forum members, i'm here and doing fantastic. last night's ahi=0.47. last week+0.63.last 30 days 0.84. last six months 1.08. last year 1.47.

do i see a trend here? oh, yeah, baby, i see a trend. and it makes me feel good. thanks to pugsy and palerider and all the other folks i'm too forgetful to name. if i had relied on my sleep doc alone, i wouldn't be here.

good stuff!

the sleep itself continues. it's arcing slightly towards more sound sleep. less fragmentation. i'd be foolish to say it's all down to the ahi. but that doesn't hurt, either. now that i'm in the very good ahi number territory, i can turn my attention to other things that can help or hinder my sleep.

i continue the activity of my waking hours. i'm not a rigid machine about it. in fact, in may, i was concentrating on other things and was less active. also, i let my focus on eating more mindfully slip a bit. but i'm back on it now.

i think the most noticeable improvement i've seen is my downward trend of aerophagia at night and just plain less heartburn or gas at other times. just sucking on the ginger candy throughout the day seems to be working it's magic on my digestive system. that and trying to NOT stuff myself like a pig.

while some nights i'm visited by fitful sleep, by and large the pattern i soke of before seems to endure. i'm getting roughly 4-5 hours of solid sleep, then waking up every hour after that. i think my body will eventually settle down and i will get even more uninterrupted sleep. if not, i'm fairly contented to be where i am.

thanks again, all!

i may not update this again until the fabulous fifth anniversary.

but until then, you'll still see me throughout the forum.

Appreciate this. I don't like making these sorts of mistakes. I recently found out that I've been misspelling Tucson my entire life. The horror!
