Hello guys-
One of my friends just started using the nomask CPAP system with the night guard. Looks interesting. Has anyone tried it? I can't find any reviews and as it is $180 I don't want to pony up the money without outside opinions.

TapPap is similar, a newer design, and considerably more affordable.
I did not even realize Nomask was still around.

Why would you use this, unless you need a night guard anyway? Seems like with minimal masks like the Airfit p10, there's no benefit of this, and many disadvantages. Just my opinion, feel free to disregard. Maybe if this blocks mouth leaks it would be good, but I'm not really sure it will since it goes onto the upper teeth only.
The
Nomask has upper and lower teethguards, so might be better for mouth breathers. But see reviews here:

Seems like it's fragile and finicky.

Why would you use this,
No headgear which for some people is a very attractive option.
The
NoMask or CPAP Pro as it is also called...has been around for a long time. It had been around for quite a while when I started therapy in 2009. Never did get very good reviews and wasn't a popular seller.
Now the TapPap mask...a take off from the CPAP Pro using a mouth guard to stabilize the pillows and you don't have to use any headgear unless you just want to....a much better option if this sort of mask appeals to someone.

I have personal experience with it myself and found it quite nice and used it for well over a year until I tried the P10 and it was a really close race as to who won the number one spot. At the time I was having some dental work done on some very old and falling apart fillings so I stuck with the P10 because I didn't want to mess with the mouth guard and the dental work at the same time. Mainly one of my upper back molars was falling apart and ended up needing a root canal and while the mouth guard never actually touched it...the gentle pressure did cause some referred discomfort to that one bad molar. I just never got around to refitting the mouth guard after the dental work and was lazy and really liked the silent venting of the P10.
When I used the TapPap...didn't use headgear straps at all. That was such a nice freedom to have.
Only real discomfort was the initial tooth discomfort from never ever having used any sort of mouth guard but that quickly went away and the mouth guard pretty much disappeared in my mouth and I wouldn't even notice it was there.
If some thinks the CPAP Pro looks interesting...take a look at the TapPap...it's a much better option IMHO.
