I purchased an all metal blue hose holder from Amazon, but not the one you have in your post. This one has no plastic except the loop that holds the hose. It breaks down into small sections and goes into a small pouch which was included. Amazingly compact and very durable. I have not had experience with the hose buddy, but this product:

is very cheap, very compact when stored and feels very durable. I use it daily and when I travel. I can't recommend it enough. That non hose buddy holder you have posted does not look very sturdy compared to this one.

FWIW - I would like it to be 1 section longer. My intention was to run it behind my headboard with just the bent section showing. Unfortunately my headboard is too high.

FWIW my deciding factors were more about form and function than price. I like that the blue one is taller and travels better. Also I don’t need the little dip at the end of the HB to hang my mask.

If you talk to Amazon and let them know the price dropped right after you purchased it, they will often refund the difference.

Sorry to hear it isn't long enough for you. I myself use it in front of the headboard and just put the flat base under my mattress. It has always worked well that way for me.

Thanks, I will contact them. I know it isn't much, but with exchange it would buy me a cafe latte at Starbucks.

And of course it is fine in front of my headboard. It just wasn't what I had planned. Who knows, in time, I may end up getting another one (when this wears out) then I can jerry rig a longer length. I really didn't realise how high the headboard was.

The same thing happened to me, I bought it at the 11dollar price just for it to drop in price, so i bought 2 more, 1 for my travel bag, and 1 for my sister. I was hoping it wouldn't work, because it looks stupid, but i do seem to sleep better with it.

I have both systems. I purchased the HoseBuddy for home and the Arden CPAP Hose Lift for travel. Note that both systems were purchased almost seven years ago so there "might" have been improvemnts encorperated into the current releases.*

- built like a tank with 1/2 round steel for the top and bottom sections. Hollow pipe for the middle section.
- it does break down into three parts and will fit into a suitcase. Not sure what the TSA will think of it though.
- only issue that I have is that the top section is held in place with a friction fit rubber grommet around the shaft. Over a month or two the top section slowly slides down lowering the hook part.

* it would appear that from the pictures on the ardeninnovations.com website that they have redesigned the base and the how the pole attaches to the base. This redesign might have solved the leaning issue.
