I checked and the machine has only 24 hours which is from my usage over 3 days. Seems like I got a unused machine.
much ado about....

Hi,
I have been using a Airsense 10 for past month. For a last week or so I feel that the machine is a bit l loud. It seems to make a wheezing noise which seem to mirror my breathing. I have taken video

This this sound unusual? Have anyone faced this ?
Thanks & Regards
The humidifier tank on my ResMed Autoset 10 developed a water leak and made a very loud wheezing sound. Could this have been the problem with your machine?
I awoke from a dream of our neighbor's bloodhound repeatedly making an awful groan as if he were the saddest dog alive. Turns out it was my ResMed Autoset 10 and the noise was on exhale. Half asleep I took out my ResMed S9 and it would only repeatedly flash the ResMed logo on the screen and never get to the main menu. Even thougth it was 2am I managed to stay calm and got my mind away from thoughts of failing blower motors and logic boards or power supplies and without CPAP fell back asleep. Yes, today I have a headache.
In the morning I checked the machine and the AirSense water tank was leaking from a bottom corner, poured out remaining water and turned on the machine and it sounded normal. I will order 2 tubs. The old S9 reached the main menu after I pulled the SD card out and put it back in.

My machine was broken and I got a replacement. After making wheezing sound for a week, it broke down and it woould produce pressure in the mask. When I took it in the technician measured the pressure of air coming out and told me it is broken.

Older post, but It's what came up on search. Anyway, I had the same issue. It ended up being dirt/dust in machine. There are videos about how to take the machine apart and clean, but I just used a compressor with the right nozzle attachment to clean.
I brought the machine to the garage without the hose and used compressed air to clean while it was running. No more noise on inhaling, it definitely was environmental dust. I would at least try this before taking the unit apart or bothering with replacements. Easy fix. Don't forget to clean the hose after this procedure.

I had a wheezing noise one night.
I have such a difficult time falling asleep that I knew that there was no way I was sleep with that noise.
I got up and adjusted all my connections. I figured out that it was the gasket in my humidifier. No more wheezing.
