Main machine: Aircurve 10 VPAP Auto
Back up and Travel machine: S9 VPAP Auto packed in its bag and ready to go. I've got a golf weekend coming up in three weeks and all I have to do is put the bag in my truck knowing I'll have all the gear I need.
Third machine - PRS1 560 Auto

Both my primary and backup machines are AirSense 10 AutoSets - there is a slight difference in that my primary (the newer of the two machines) has two options for response: Standard and Soft, although I can't be certain of the differences, so I leave it on Standard.
That brings up a question, though - why have you decided to use the older machine as your primary and keep the newest as backup?

Because the system one I just got has 558.9 hours and is a auto sv advanced

I have a Resmed Airsense 10 Autoset and since my wife doesn't like using CPAP that I have a Resmed Autoset 10 For Her.
I flip back and forth between the two depending on the room decor or whether or not I used one for travelling or not.

For those who cannot sleep without a CPAP machine, I strongly recommend having your backup unit ready to go in an emergency. I have my backup near my front door at all times.
Recently, I spent a night at a hospital without my CPAP and I couldn't sleep a wink that night.

Not quite but sort of. If I packed a machine for travel I will sometimes take the one on the nightstand or sometimes I will take the one that is already packed and when I get home I will look at the stuff in the room and say to myself “this week white might look better with things”. I am neurotic that way but once I stop traveling I am sure I’ll just have one or the other that stays at home.

yikes! thanks for that reminder. we now live in a wooded and mountainous region of arizona. both wildfires and flash flooding is a possibility. and while i have my "bug out" bag at the front closet, for some reason, i never thought of putting my back up machine there.
good tip.

If I had to carry all that stuff, I wouldn't go anywhere. I carry my CPAP with my mask packed in the bag...That's it. If something happens, too bad. I carry my prescription if I need to purchase something.
