It goes across the lower part of the nose but it would not seal properly for me. My nasal pillows work quite well but I wanted something to permit mouth breathing when sinus allergies do not permit nose breathing,
It does not cover the nose like a nasal or full face mask. That was my main point.

At some point you might look at the Respironics DreamWear Full Face mask if you haven't already.
I found it did a much better job for me than the Amara View...of course your mileage may vary but I sort of think of it as a much improved Amara View. Softer, smaller, more comfortable, etc.
Similar under the nose type of cushion.
