Good job. FIrst hurdle done with and that's the first night hurdle.
Boring is good.
Couple of questions about your sleep quality last night..
How long do you think it took you to get to sleep? Did you have many wake ups during the night? If so, any idea why?
Oh...it will get more boring with time.

I predict you will take to this like a duck to water.

I'm good with boring! Especially if it takes care of/helps some of my issues (tired, high BP, etc.)
Last night I did as most people seem to suggest and put the mask and machine on and watched a bit of TV with my wife. That was just after 9 and I probably rolled over in about 30-45 minutes.
I recall waking up 2 or 3 times, the last being when I turned the machine off and rolled back over for another hour (not sure why I did that, I think I thought it was later than it was). I did wake up one time and felt the machine pulsing a little bit but never took the mask off.
My wife said that after night one she wasn't sure which was worse, the snoring and intermittent pauses or the lack of snoring all night. Both of us did note that I normally toss and turn quite a bit but didn't move much last night. I'm hoping night one is a sign of things to come but I know that there will be nights where it doesn't go as smoothly and/or the numbers don't look as good. I'm really looking forward to not being ready to go back to sleep for another 8 hours right after I wake up.

Looks like you are off to a good start. My first night, I could only stand the mask for about four hours. Your wife will soon adapt to the new quiet nights and she will be able to rest better when she learns she doesn't have to listen for you to stop breathing. My wife used to poke me in the ribs if I didn't start breathing after a few seconds. Once I started on the machine, she started sleeping much better until she started showing signs of sleep apnea. Now, she uses a machine, too.
