So here is my understanding for two CPAP machines with one O2 concentrator:

5 Ah - CPAP pump (ea)
10 Ah - humidity (ea)
30 Ah - two CPAP machines
25 Ah - O2 concentrator
20 Ah - other misc. electrical loads
----------
75 Ah - total (or 900 Wh)
225 Ah - battery, dischg 50%, rechg 85%

I was thinking 6V deep cycle wet cell batteries because they have effectively twice the storage capacity, and I have the room. I found several 6v 225 AH batteries for about $170 each. Double that price for AGM/sealed cell.

Add a couple 100W solar panels @ $100 each, with a charging controller w/ 110V 1 KW inverter @ $130 (for the occasional appliance, computer, etc.) should be accomplished in far less than a kilo-buck including the fancy Respironics 12V adapters. In fact, a fully portable Yeti 1000L system (Li-ion, 1045 Wh) with 2x100W panels is about $2,000 and 90 lbs.

Does this all sound about right? As long as my wife's upcoming sleep study does not also suggest supplementary O2. :(

But at least I will know how to size the increase.

The numbers seem to add up. The real issue will be you're living day to day with very little margin. I (being "belt and suspenders") would be happier with double the battery power. The 6v flooded batteries are the most bang for the buck, largely because they're so commonly used in golf carts and buffers, not because they have have some special advantage. They do come with the issues of flooded cells - they need to be checked monthly and topped off with distilled water, and if you carry them around you will get acid on you (I have the scars). I live with mine because the are tucked very snugly in a compartment designed for them. Whether the 2 100 watt panels are enough time will tell. You should have some sort of fallback - I have two diesels with alternators and an Honda genset - and have needed them all on occasion. Last month I added a SolarEpic MPPT controller and have been impressed with its ability to bump the current by up ti 30%,

Might consider getting a recording oximeter with an alarm. You can set the oxygen saturation % for the alarm. This would wake you up enough to start breathing deeper. So while your sleep would be fragmented, you would not experience the damage from oxygen desaturation.

I have Goal Zero's Escape battery, shame it's no longer made as it's worked great for me during power outages (supposed to work for 2 nights at pressure 12 & no humidifier, solar/wall rechargeable).

My Innovo wrist SPO2 recorder does have an alarm. However a) my wife is a light sleeper, whereas I am not, and b) there is nothing I can do about it anyway. Of course "a" is most important. That said, new Goal Zero power system is "in the mail" and cost reduced as I cash in on my REI credit card rewards. I will check back in with group after my next camping experience. Need to buy the DreamStation adapter cord.
