Since you cannot use both machines at the same time, it should not be an issue.
Awww, c'mon... P10 and an oracle mask!
Note to OP: I'm just being silly, pay no attention.
Wait a minute.... when I read your post, the first thought I had was a person with nasal pillows and a full face mask at the same time. Of course the air would leak out the full face mask where the pillow wires are...… still...

I'm coming up on my 5th anniversary on my cpap (and this board!) and was about to call my Dr to ask about a new machine. But this summer I'm splitting time between home and boat so it might make it hard to comply. Perhaps I should hold off a few months.
Call your insurance company first and find out exactly what any compliance requirements might be.
They may not even have any depending on the insurance.
Medicare has a 30 day compliance thing where you have to use it for 70 % of 30 consecutive nights...or 21 out of 30 at least 4 hours or more and you have 90 days (from the time to get the machine) to get that 30 days done. Once that is met...no more compliance requirements.
Your insurance might have similar or it might not even care....so call them up and find out exactly what it is or isn't that they require and then you know.
Now if you have Medicare...I know that one for sure.

I don't know how old you are.

Another thing to consider is that if your replace a machine and insurance pays, you'll want to use the new one exclusively throughout the compliance period. That is so that you can be sure to lock in compliance.
Why do you make things confusing..the answer to the OPs question is "NO".
For once, I'll side with DH on this - I'm coming up on my 5th anniversary on my cpap (and this board!) and was about to call my Dr to ask about a new machine. But this summer I'm splitting time between home and boat so it might make it hard to comply. Perhaps I should hold off a few months.
Waiting until the end of summer or early fall would probably be the best idea. Enjoy boating this summer!

It's obvious that Johnny doesn't want to regulate the smart ass remarks from anyone. Why others want to do it or even feel the need to point them out is beyond me.
All bullies should be pointed out ... whether in junior high school or on a internet forum!

Whatever.
In my mind that creates 2 unpleasant people instead of just one because I think I am quite capable of seeing the first one without any help and I don't really want any help.
But you aren't going to change and since you think it is your job to point out bullies...go for it.
But you need to point out the others and not just PR...otherwise you are guilty of harassment too.
If you are going to be judge and jury...needs to be for everyone and not just one special person that you hate anything they say.

Yeah, that would be a bit difficult, but maybe with the nose mask and mouth mask..

Bullies and trolls never recognize themselves for what THEY actually are.
At least I help people in my spare time, the troll you're responding to never does anything helpful... to anybody, just trolling and bullying.

I’d go for the new machine sooner rather than later. Take the new one with you for the first month. I have three machines. Always great to have newer backup or alternative.
