This compares to just washing the pillow on the AirSense and I wonder if it is overkill. If am traveling to a different hotel everyday, I may bring a second set of these small parts so the first set can dry out overnight while I use the second set. I'd love to hear from experienced users on how they handle this.

--> So far, I think this will be a useful product. Besides saving space during travel, the AirMini serves as a backup machine in case the AirSense breaksdown. Also I was recently evacuated on short notice due to a wildfire in California near my home. If that happens again, I'll have the AirMini packaged and ready.
I'm glad to hear the pre-moistening of the HumidX was helpful to you!

On cleaning front, when I travel, I take enough packs of the single-use citrus mask wipes (https://www.cpap.com/productpage/beaumo ... avel-wipes) to have one for each night. I then pop the pillows off the mask, take separate the mask from the hose, and wipe down the pillows, mask, lower part of the mask hose, and the mask strap, in that order. I wash everything maybe once a month.

Found this thread through a search. My issue is similar but slightly different. I get a severe allergic reaction (runny nose, super itchy nose, sneezing) if I use HumidX at all. One way I found out to use it was to remove the HumidX and lower the CPAP pressure using the bluetooth secret menu. That helps in humid to semi arid situations. But in dryer climates, I'll have the same issue due to the dryness that people described here.

I haven't tried using the "pour water on HumidX" method yet, so I may try that.

I'm also considering an N20 instead of a P10 (I use P10 at home). Maybe not having the air shot through the nasal pillows will be a little better? Have anyone tried this?

I bought the Resmed AirMini 3 years ago, and I must use the HumidX Plus cartridges when I travel. However, after a week of use I still get serious sinus dryness and pain. Thank you for the washcloth idea, however I bought a Smartdevil portable water humidifier (0.5L) (https://amzn.to/37W3As3) to place beside my AirMini air-intake and will try this as a solution instead of the washcloth idea when I travel next month (for three weeks), and I'll let you know the results in July. This I hope will be a more efficient way to breath in more moist air. Wish me luck or else you might hear me sneezing non-stop, again! :lol:

I am anxious to hear how the mini air humidifier works. After a terrible accident where my face was smashed my sinuses are tremendously fussy and need more humidity here in Colorado than the AirMini furnishes with the humidX+ furnishes. I am getting ready to go overseas and need to figure out this problem. Thank you so much for any advice given.

I have been having problems with sinus issues and my AirMini. I tried several things suggested here with no luck. I contacted Lufta where I purchased it last summer.They suggested I try a N20 mask with attachment for the AirMini. I tried it last night and viola! It worked like a dream. No sinus problem this AM. Will update in a few days to let you know if everything continues to work. I am SOOOO excited.

How did you do with the N20? Any updates for us? I too purchased the mini for air travel and have had “allergy attacks” every time using the p10. I did pour a capful of distilled water on the humidex plus which helped with dryness but not sinus irritation. I don’t want to ruin another vacation, so unless something changes I now have a $1000 piece of ———

Thanks for the feedback. Seems the noise is normal and lack of exhaust normal so will persevere. I use the N20 mask with my S9 and it works just fine.
