Why we hate APRIA..APRIA sent my small bill to COLLECTION AGENCY, after telling me in was a mistake and they would reverse it. Medicare and my supplemental carrier have always paid for everything and I don't order anything extra. Collection Agency is Global Receivables Solutions Inc. and they sent me a threatening letter. They have no email address, no fax number and say to write them immediately if you dispute the bill, and they will verify the debt, whatever that means. Has anybody had and good experience getting out from under a bogus Apria debt. Apria says its with the Collection Agency now, and put me off to deal with them.
I hid my identity here some, so APRIA doesn't come after me harder. Any help would be appreciated.

First, within 30 days of the date of that letter you received from the collection agency send a certified letter explaining that you do not owe the debt, that it was supposed to have been paid by your insurance company and that Apria told you you do not owe it. Try to include information about your call with Apria (date, time, names). Also ask for documentation proving you owe this debt. Then contact your insurance company to find out what's going on .
If you don't want to take the trouble to send that letter to the collection agency, pay that debt. It will end up on your credit report whether your insurance company eventually pays or not.
Unfortunately this happens pretty frequently , and not just from Apria. My brother was dealing with an $895 bill that he ended up having to pay for because of Medicare's limited coding system. He paid the collection agency, and it took us over a year for him to get reimbursed from the insurance company. Never got reimbursed from Medicare.

You should also write
Apria about their promise to reverse the
billing.

Does that mean you don't snore and you are clean shaven?

Could one bring suit against Apria for erroneously damaging their credit rating?
I would SO do that!

You also may need to contact the credit rating agencies and make sure this is disputed and does not affect your credit rating.
