I have an S9 with 10,000 hours on it...about 2 years ago I purchased an S9 Auto with 20 hours on CL as a back up. I only used it once since....shame on me.

I did'nt
need it....I slept in a separate roon when my wife had the flu. I used it instead of unhooking my primary. I have no problem with having a back up...just that crap about using it several hours twice a month.

I rotate mine about every six months. (If your machines aren't nearly identical, this might not work so well.)

If you don't want to use it (perhaps it doesn't have all the bells and whistles that your regular machine has, or you want to accumulate stats), just run it for several hours twice per month.
