You're right about it not leaving marks - none at all.

I don't know if you noticed, but there is a "UV Buff" listed on the website. It has Coolmax (and UV protection in case your bedroom is particularly sunny...).

My Buff is the regular one. It's breathable, but if you're concerned about your head getting hot, maybe the one with the Coolmax will work better.

There is a product comparison chart on the website. It seems the UV Buff is listed on the comparison chart as the Summer Buff.

Hello Sandy,

I ordered the UV Buff (Summer) and it arrived Saturday. I guess the production cost of the Buff is about 17 cents so I paid $20.87 for product development, marketing and promotion plus $4.50 for shipping.

It is a neat and unique product. I have used it two nights and my hair did better each morning. I feel that without it the mask headgear is gradually rubbing away some of my hair.

The Buff may be made out of a cool fabric but no doubt it makes your head warmer. I will have to see how much of a problem that is this Spring.

Thanks for the recommendation,

rooster

P.S. Since it was so cold Sunday morning I left the Buff on when I went out to the paper boxes at daybreak to bring in our papers. I expected to see no one that early on such a cold Sunday, but darn there was my next door neighbor with a silly grin on his face and then the mayor's wife jogged by. No telling what rumors are going around my small town about this 58-year old conservative male.

Hi Rooster,

I'm glad you've found a way to preserve both the appearance and presence of your hair.

You might find some additional uses the longer you have it. Here are some of my more recent discoveries:
  • 1. Covering my ears - I get earaches if my ears are exposed to cold air for extended periods of time. If I sleep with the window open, my Buff protects my ears.

    2. Keeping the light out of my eyes - I'm very light-sensitive and I don't have blackout curtains in my bedroom. Prior to CPAP I slept with an eye mask, but I can't do that with my mask. So, I pull my Buff down over my eyes - it doesn't block as much light as my sleep mask, but it works well enough.

    3. Keeping the air out of my eyes - If my mask leaks below my eyes, they don't dry out because my Buff is covering them.
Of course, the entertainment you provided for your neighbors is the best use of all!

Sandy

This one is extremely important
  • 4. Protects my hair from velcro - my hair is pretty long gets tangled in any exposed parts of the velcro. My Buff keeps the velcro away from my hair.
