It's going good. Giving it a lot of time, the soreness/pain is pretty much gone. Don't really know exactly what it was. But the soreness/pain migrated to the right side briefly. Exact same thing just mirrored on the right side. then went away. Still get it every now and then, but nothing to bad. The PT I was seeing for the headaches said it might be a upper disc trying to go bad. We were just talking about it during one of the sessions. He said anything can tweak those things. Since I sit at a computer all day, I can easily find myself slouching forward without knowing it. I guess that can work the back pretty good and mess with all those nerves in the chest and upper back causing the kind of pain I was having. I always took good posture for granted. Now I try to pay attention to it. I get up once every 30 minutes and just walk around the office, get a cup of coffee etc. I also got a better chair at my home computer. I'm sure these things had a little bit to do with me feeling good. Maybe the ER visit and the heart stress tests that I took were the results of me panicking a bit, but I'd rather be safe. Plus now I have a lot of test results that can be used for a baseline.

I also was having bad chest pain on the left side after waking up using a face mask on 8.0. The pain was
much less after a day for some reason.
I was thinking it might be from too low pressure and CO2 poisoning. What exactly is pericarditis and
how do you get it? I also feel my heart racing a lot during the day and feel I can't relax or rest when I'm a wake

FWIW, I have some experience with pericarditis. The pain can mimic a heart attack and when you get to the ER, the blood enzyme levels will indicate heart muscle damage, so the initial presumptive diagnosis is usually an MI. If you're in the US, you'll likey be scheduled for a heart catheterization which will show all normal. My wife went through all that recently. She's an RN and knew all the signs, but it scared the bejeebers out of her since her father died young of an MI. While she was in recovery, the Cardiologist called me in to his office to show me the results and explained it. Not very common, he said, but it DOES happen. So it's something to keep in mind.

No, it's ALWAYS written as one word: "COSTOCHONDRITIS is an inflammation of a rib or the cartilage
connecting a rib. It is a common cause of chest pain." --Google Health

Wow!!! talk about similarities... I know I am posting this 4 years later. But I have exactly the same symptoms - this after I changed my mask to the new 'Swift FX'. Great mask - no leaks... but I wake up in the morning with burning sensation in my chest and shoulders and some breathlessness. I dont think anything's wrong with my heart - but the symptoms arent great. I will be meeting with my cardiologist soon...

But the real question is - what if there is *no* problem with the heart? Do we have to reconcile ourselves to these fairly annoying symptoms???

I have these symptoms which you have described even better than I could have. Since I am unemplyoed and w/out health insurance, I have taken the "grin & bear it" approach. Well, after 2-3 months of this, it's begun to scare me. Like you, blood work, EKG and DR visits have all been normal.
I have NOT kept up w/ proper cleaning of the CPAP, have used regular water (not distilled) and have not had a CPAP filter in a looooong time. I am suspect that this has at least contributed to my problem.
