Personally right after I started CPAP my appetite skyrocketed... It didn't go down until I added a lot of fats to my diet. My opinion CPAP users apetite can go up because the body is trying to repair itself... especially the brain... If you're not getting the correct brain fuel (Fat Especially Omega 3, and Choline - food sources are egg, Liver, Broccoli in that order) then the body will send signals to eat in order to try and find the nutrients.

Exact opposite for me. I find the amount of food I used to eat for lunch, my big meal, is too much food.

I gained weight after starting CPAP, but I have no idea if one was related to the other. I am now eating less, and weight is starting to come down.

It wouldn't surprise me if CPAP caused weight gain. Many forms of chronic illness prevent weight gain, but staying sick isn't a good way to keep the weight down.
