Oh, now I get it, I now see where I made mistakes in wording statements incorrectly and not quoting them properly to the previous post.

Except maybe hook it up to your shop air compressor at 150 psi with a 1 inch air hose and no regulator. Jimpalerider wrote: ↑Sat Mar 10, 2018 6:42 pmThat's because a cpap is FAR safer (in the life threatening scheme of things) than many other things. Say... diabetics self dosing with insulin.freetimecreations wrote: ↑Sat Mar 10, 2018 5:56 pmMaybe some very smart people on this forum makes it seem like fitting a mask and using an auto cpap is so easy that nothing life threatening could possibly go wrong.
There's nothing you can do with a cpap that will cause more harm than NOT HAVING IT. Or an apap.
You *could* hyperventilate yourself with a bilevel, but it's one of those things that any even slightly sane person would then say "oh, yeah, i shouldn't have changed THAT setting".
It sounds like you have gone to the same university as JNK, or at least taking lessons from him.lastlib wrote: ↑Sun Mar 11, 2018 12:48 pmI am a criminal defense attorney and will tell you that EVERY law is sensible. In CPAP's case they wish to prevent CPAPs from going to street users. Every city has a CPAP withdrawal clinic where people who are hooked on CPAPs can get help. CPAPs are as dangerous as marijuana and must be stopped as marijuana is per our attorney general. Remember our president thinks users of non prescribed CPAPs deserve the death penalty. CPAPs are a device of abuse.
In case anyones wondering about California. Our Liberal politicians here love laws that make law abiding citizens criminals. All the while protecting... never mind, I probably shouldn't get political here.... BillSewTired wrote: ↑Sat Mar 10, 2018 11:48 amJust as an FYI, in California, Xpaps are considered 'dangerous medical devices'. (no I'm not kidding). It's the only state in the country where you are potentially running the dark edge of the law selling used xpaps. FDA does not claim jurisdiction over used equipment.Maxtrixbass wrote: ↑Fri Mar 09, 2018 3:42 pmDitto that. I'm having a hard time imagining why/how someone would "abuse" a CPAP machine much less masks and hoses.

All CPAP Machines, Masks and Humidifiers I've seen in 510ks are listed as Class II, Prescription Required.

Progressives in every state love making laws that try to control every aspect of life. California has a surfeit of progressives.32blownhemi wrote: ↑Sun Mar 11, 2018 5:41 pmOur Liberal politicians here love laws that make law abiding citizens criminals.
I will agree that California does have some outlandish laws, but there's a difference between protectionism laws that specifically benefit DME sales (xpaps & Masks) and those that protect people from themselves (seatbelts).32blownhemi wrote: ↑Sun Mar 11, 2018 5:41 pmIn case anyones wondering about California.
