As far as I know, resmed is the only manufacturer that wants the user to put in a mask setting. Other manufacturers (Respironics, Puritan Bennett, Fisher & Paykell, DeVilbiss, etc. ) don't make you do that.

Can you describe the differences between your old and new headgear?

What would happen if I plugged one of the exhaust ports on my hybrid. I'd expect my leak rate to fall (at the same pressures) but would there be any other unexpected results?
The Hybrid's passive exhaust port flow would then be equal to that of the
Ultra Mirage Full-face mask.
It seems to me, several people have questions about the Hybrid's very
high CO2 flush rate. I think a lot of these questions could be answered
with either a toothpick or a bit of tape, and a two to three day home trial.
Remember, OSA is a self-treatable condition, and the equipment used to
treat it are safer than a curling iron...but then, I'm not a medical professional...

I have used the
original headgear for three months and one week with good success. I like that the headgear is very lightweight and cool.
I assume the supplier will discontinue the original headgear.
I hope the new headgear does not feel hot.
I am sleeping with the original headgear for about two weeks without making adjustments. After that there is either a small stretching of the material or slight slipping of the velcro.
Here is how I adjust the headgear:

Note that I have cut off the chin flap.

Their new headgear is out. Call Teleflex or Innomed(Or Respcare?) for it.
The new shells are out, too, that work with resmed products. It's brand new, however, you probably have to ask for it. I like the higher co2 washout and don't use resmed, so I don't need the upgrade. I'll get the headgear, though. All full face mask headgear configures to fit this mask.Letr me tell you that this mask is worth all the trouble. My wife is using it, too, now ,and she is harder to please that anyone (she'll laugh when she reads that statement).

I have a MAC and the instruction video was WMV so I couldn't get it to play. I solved that at work. Last night I got a leak free and solid fit that stayed on all night. My numbers looked good and I got a restful nights sleep. The only thing was that my Resmed APAP still told me I had extreme leaks. I have a call out to the Hybrid folks, hoping the have some suggestions.
Question: 1) If my other number are good, and my sleep is good, does the leak number matter?
Thanks all

no. their not real leaks, but thats what they fixed. personally, I like the better co2 wash. I sleep like a baby and don't feel like I'm breathing against the air. It's wonderful.

I just spoke to a representative from Teleflex medical (makers or distributors of HYBRID) and he said their is a new "shell" in the works with a reduced exhaust flow, it should be available in January. He is also send out a beefed up headgear.
He agreed with many of you, that, in his opinion LEAK Rate number weren't important. But they are addressing the problem(By adding less holes, I suspect.). He thought CPAP.COM should have the new shells soon.
