Do you have any sort of USB port or SD card slot on the MacBook Pro?

Removing the SD card is easy....just a gentle push in and it will pop out enough you can grab hold of it and pull it out.
See the manual.
https://sleep.tnet.com/home/files/resme ... -guide.pdf

If you don't have a slot on the Macbook Pro but you do have a USB port you can use a little adapter/reader and plug the SD card in one end and use the USB port on the other end going into your Pro.
Adapter/readers for SD cards are relatively cheap....less than $10 at Walmart.

I agree with ChicagoGranny. 4 is to low. When I got my loaner machine it was set at 6.2 to 15. The 6.2 often felt me feeling like I was not breathing well. When I got my new machine I had the pressure adjusted to 8 and it has made a huge difference in MyAir scores. I have yet to download sleepy head as my computer went on the fritz.

Just my two cents. I’m very new to this too.

I agree 4 might be low but we don't know what the machine is even going to right now. Just because it can go to 10 doesn't mean it is going to 10.
I mean for all we know it barely makes it to 6 cm...that 10 cm max...it may never even come close and the OP is complaining of aerophagia...is he getting aerophagia at 6 cm all night??? or is it going to 10 and staying at 10 all night and that's causing the aerophagia.

Just because it starts at 4 cm doesn't mean it stays at 4 all night. Heck it might go to 6 and stay there all night and never drop back down..........

My point is...let's see what is going on before suggesting pressure increases that might make the aerophagia worse.
Hurts nothing to wait until we can see the detailed report and then offer the more pressure idea if it seems warranted.
Most likely I will also suggest "more minimum" but I don't like doing it without seeing the reports. Heck, for all we know that AHI of 3 might be all centrals and more pressure won't do a damn thing for centrals.

Let's see what the reports show and then come up with ideas for pressure changes...and remember he is already had some belly issues and we sure don't want to make them worse.

Data is available...let's look at it first. Now if it wasn't available then be do some guessing but why guess at the pressure without seeing the report.

And no where did I hear him say that the setting of 4 made him feel like he was suffocating. Not everyone has that problem with 4 cm pressure.
Most probably do but not everyone.

Maybe it is as simple as you have been sleep deprived for a long time and it is taking your body a while to “catch up”. Also, some people just need more sleep than others, that combined with years of poor sleep might make one take longer to feel good on a “normal” 8 hrs. If all your reports look good - try being patient, maybe your body is doing what it needs to.

It should help you. A minimum pressure of 4 is not often optimal. It's too low for most people. Let's see those SH details. It might be easy to do some tweaking and achieve more sound sleep and better recovery in fewer hours of sleep.
Thank you for your reply. I just ordered UBC-C SD Card Reader. I'll post the results as soon as I get them, I would sincerely appreciate it if you would help me interpret the data then.

Actually, the 'data' from myair doesn't tell you squat.

It's like the 30,000 foot view. You don't know what's going on.

It's like flying over the Lockheed factory in ww2... you think it's fields... but when you get on the ground, it's an airplane factory.

"myair" is like that, 30,000 foot view... sleepyhead is down on the ground.

Two things jump to my mind with the current info.

1) Many people still feel bad when their ahi is below 5, but not down far enough for them. So, it co uld be that getting it down to 2 or so will help you feel better. Mine is usually in the 0.5 - 1.5 range, so I feel pretty good. Very few days above 2, so I really don't know what I would like at 3 on a regular basis.

2) the other thing that stands out is a pressure range that might be too wide for you. Some people, like me, are totally fine with a range of pressures. Other people really don't do well with a wide range, especially if the pressure goes up and down all during the night.

Once you have the data available, you will be able to make some educated changes to narrow your pressure range AND lower your number of events. Hopefully, one or both of those things will help you feel better.

If nothing seems to work, I would reccomend blood work to see if anything stands out. Consider ANY possible symptoms you have and tell the doctor. Last month, I got tired of being really tired (worse than before cpap). I was also dealing with breathing problems that I thought were asthma, restless leg syndrome suddenly really bad, feeling cold, headaches, and more. It turned out to be low iron, and I am now doing much better with iron supplements. I had no idea that my strange variety of symptoms were ALL related. I just listed everything and hoped my doctor would fit it together. She did. So, it is possible that you have something totally unrelated to sleep that is messing with you.

Trying the min. pressure at 6 for a couple of nights while you wait will not hurt anything and will give you a headstart on feeling better. It's still a very low setting and if, for some reason you really want to change it back you can always do so, but I'd leave the upper setting alone for now.

There are plenty of people here who would like to help you. When you are ready to post some graphs, please do not start a new thread. Post them in this thread so the people helping you will have your history readily available.

You have a good machine, and you have the right attitude. I am optimistic that you will be able to improve your situation.

Hi, so just to give you an update, I got an SD card reader and sleepytime, ONLY to find just now that I don't have an SD card in my machine!! Is that normal? If so, do I have to get one as well?

Well if you want to get your data from your machine to your computer then yeah...you need something to transport that data.

Any generic SD card will work for pretty much all the machines out there that uses a SD card. I got mine at WalMart...cheap generic works just fine.

First off, I really appreciate you for replying, it makes me really happy to see that someone out there would help me out when I feel so lost. I just bought one, it will be in use tonight. Quick question, when I am trying to seek help with SleepyHead software, what should I take the screen shot of? What would be the optimal screenshot to seek the help needed?
