Yeah, miracles can happen but sub forums is one miracle I don't ever see happening especially considering what it took to get a moderator and must be logged in to post. He doesn't like change.

I never (OK, rarely) use the search function here; I do the the google thing and add "site: cpaptalk.com."

H,jm.

I suggest two subforums:

"Sense" and "Nonsense."

You would then find me in the "Nonsense" subforum attempting to break the rules by trying to post sense there and failing until I got banned.

Welcome to the forum.
This forum has worked extremely well using the K.I.S.S. principle since its inception in 2004. I've been around here since early 2005 and over the years, other new members have suggested the same thing (I remember most of the discussions). Over the years, most of the forums which have used the "categories" (subforums) formats have gone out of existence or have very little participation. The problem with subcategories is that it takes too much effort to poke through them and to answer questions. This one is straightforward and easy to use. That's why it hasn't changed and the vast majority of us who have used it for any length of time wouldn't have it any other way.

Tesla? What's a Tesla?

No way in Hell would I buy one of those all-electric things. A Prius maybe (years ago when I drove enough to justify it), but not an all-electric vehicle.

Nor would I! However, you do realize that means we aren't 'green' people then, right?

Well, I'm "green" to a point, but I live in an oil and coal producing state and wish our economy to prosper.
I used to work for an oil company (about 40 years ago as a computer operator) as did my wife about 20+ years ago.
I live in an energy-efficient house I built myself about 40 years ago and on a daily basis try to recycle/repurpose as many things as I can.
When I built my house, I was even thinking about some solar panels, but they weren't practical then.
But, using a fully electric automobile is not something I would consider. I can buy alot of gasoline for the difference in what those things cost over conventional internal combustion vehicles. And, living where I do, it's a long way to anywhere and frequently recharging batteries isn't something that sounds appealing to me.
If something else becomes commercially and economically feasible, it may catch on. But, I'll probably be pushing up daisies long before that. Some years back, I worked with a guy who had a Prius and that was kind of a neat concept. So, a hybrid would have been something I might have considered.......but I don't drive enough anymore to be able to justify it.

Just try to keep the cows from belching out there, will ya, Den?

I drive a Hybrid Camry. Best of all worlds in my opinion. Although Hybrid Highlanders may rank a close second. Amazing machines!

All-electric is mostly for city-slicker commuters, not for those needing to go long distances. But hybrids rock. Better balanced ride, faster 0-60, torque to burn, better behavior on snow, etc.

Maybe this topic needs its own subforum?

(Again, just pretending to be on topic.)
