That is just he billing price or so-called list price. Your insurance company has a contract with the provider and will only pay a fraction of this.

I have to admit that I too wonder about this. Since my diagnosis several of my female friends have gone for sleep studies because I am "getting the word out" about just how common OSA seems to be among women, especially after menopause.

Each one of them (4 in total) has tested in the moderate to severe range, with desaturations way down in the low 80s. I feel like a light weight with my AHI of 16!

These women aren't obese, maybe a tad overweight. Age range: mid 40s to late 50s.

So of course this has me wondering ...just how many people are on the roads with untreated OSA? Not one of these 4 friends of mine ever considered OSA until I mentioned the possibility. Symptoms? Well 3 of them snored and one has GERD. All of them had poor sleep.

So, do we test every person before they are issued a driver's licence and then every time they renew? And then, do we wirelessly monitor compliance and revoke their licences until they become "compliant"

How do we decide who on the road and/or which occupations require a sleep test. Do we only test those who are "obese"?

So, what's in the best public interest and what is just BS posturing to cover corporate a$$es?

Had a friend who was seriusly overweight who claimed it didn’t effect his health in any way. Went to bed one night at age 51 and never woke up.

It is a matter of "BIGGER/BETTER GOVERNMENT" Plus digging deeper into the citizens pockets for more tax dollars to line their pockets for really not doing anything.
